whats next to the moon live, bon and AC/DC movie info.
did they ever play this song with Bon? if they did is there a link? and i also have some crappy news, the guys making "beyond the thunder" contacted AC/DC's management, and right away said no and forbid them from any publication... there's still hope though, theyre geting back stage at DOWNLOAD and hoping to talk with the guys so there would be a power over-ruling. rock on.
I would be pissed if this movie doesn't come out, and no.Bon never performed it live.
@Esau31, Where did you get your information about the "Beyond The Thunder" release? In my latest issue of the UK magazine Classic Rock, we received our usual goodie and this month it was a DVD which includes various excerpts from documentaries. One of which being the "Beyond The Thunder" excerpt. It is true that Mr. Squiers mentions at the end of the documentary promo that they are going to be backstage at Download and trying to get AC/DC to also appear in the movie and give their blessing but even if that doesn't happen, there isn't any mention about the film not being released. Even if AC/DC do not give their blessing, I don't think the release can be stopped since this truly is a movie about the fans and AC/DC's influence on everyone from Scott Ian, Dee Snyder, strippers, businessmen to war heroes, young kids, old people, families, soccer moms etc. etc.. Please explain your info. about the possible non-release. P.S. this looks like a really interesting movie. I can relate to so much about what the people in it have to say about how AC/DC have changed their life. The one guy cracked me up because he said he wanted Highway To Hell to play at his funeral and I always thought the same thing. Another guy mentioned that AC/DC is kind of like a religion. I never thought about it that way but I tend to agree. Just like Mr. Squires, the Highway To Hell album changed my life back in 1979 at the tender age of 10. Still the greatest album made in the history of music with Powerage being a close 2nd in my honest opinion. Hoping this movie sees the light of day because it's made by the true fans for the true fans. Peace out Riff Raff Scotty from Detroit (acdc74)
@acdc74 I follow them on twitter, and the guy said that they were asked to send a copy of the movie (by request of acdc management) and it took them like 2 weeks to reply back to curt (co-producer/director) and they said that they will not accept any repruduction of the movie if it includes any copy righted stuff by AC/DC because they dont give them permission. so long story short, Without even consulting the boys (ANGUS, MALCOLM, BRIAN, CLIFF, and PHILL) they forbid curt and his other partner from distributing the movie because it has copy-righted material that they do not whant curt and his partner to use in any public release. i personally think it SUCKS B@##s, this shows how conseeded acdc's management is, not AC/DC it'self, but i still have hope that when curt and his partner get back stage they can arrange something with the boys. this is all from official statements he made on TWITTER. rock on, and keep your fingers crossed!!!
yeah but they will authorise any shitty old freeview (for our US cousins, think cheap cable programmes) to pilfer the back catalogue! Go figure!
@esau31, Yeah, I noticed during the documentary promo that the beginning of Thunderstruck from Donington was used. Right when I had seen that I thought to myself that there is going to be a problem (copywrite). Hopefully everything gets worked out because I think it is a very important film that needs to be released because it speaks volumes about how many fans the band has that truly worship these guys. So many people from so many different walks of life that have this special connection.
