Hello all, I've posted previously as to how great a job Jack Death does on remastering live material, but here's another positive report... I sent Jack an old Judas Priest show from 1981. Though it was soundboard, it was very muddy and hard to enjoy in many places. After a thorough reworking, the gig came out fantastic with clarity and bass I never knew it had. Among the other shows I sent him were some old Queen shows that were audience-sourced that came out sounding like SOUNDBOARD recordings after Mr. Death's careful re-tooling. I normally wouldn't go out of my way to provide such feedback for anybody, but this is a great opporunity to get your boots remastered for free, and the man does an excellent job. So, if you've got cool stuff that needs a little work, email Jack Death at: RockConcerts@sbcglobal.net Ryan

I can do Videos but its a tideous task at the moment. I am not properly tooled up for Video sound editing directly. But there is a way to do it. But it would require me making a another copy of the show on a New tape with the new sound. So it would lead to another generation of the tape. But in the near future I will be able to take video edit picture and sound and tranfer onto DVD-R just like I do with audio recordings. But if you got any CD-R or Analog Tape shows I will be glad to do them for you. Jack Death (Rockconcerts@sbcglobal.net)

Well heres my situation... I have this old tape, that has a gazillion ac/dc clips live and official. The clips play fine for the most part but randomly go black and loose color for about 5 second periods... is this to much of a task? this message is for anyone not just jack death.

That sounds to me like the Tape is getting old. Usually when that happens it is one of a couple of things. Your tape is old, got some demagetizing within the tape or its strectched to no point, Or your VCR is getting old or needs to be cleaned or the heads serviced. Or lthe person that made the tape for you had the same problem with his copy or machine.

try this! Fast forward the tape to the end. Then take your finger and place it in the cog and turn it to tighting the tape up a bit.Than rewind the tape (perfferably in a high speed rewinder) And try playing it. Also try playing the tape in another Player. If you have the same problem its the tape Period. And that is most likely not repairable if its been Demaged.
