OK, folks, here is my recording of the gig in Wels from a week ago! ENJOY! http://www.megaupload.com/?d=X8XDQOXV Info File (included): Band: AC/DC Venue: Flugfeld (Air Field) City: Wels Country: Austria / Upper Austria Date: Saturday, May 22nd 2010 Bootleg Title: Wels Bells - No reduced Decibel at Railroad Airport Taper: HighVoltage Recording Equipment: Sony ECM-TS125 Electret Condenser Business Microphone -> Olympus LS-10 Linear PCM Recorder Mic Position: stuck on the front of necktie Location: about 25 m from the stage, 2 m next to the 'catwalk', right side (Cliff side), front wavebreaker area (no special Fanclub area/Front of Stage this time) Recorder Settings: Mic Sens low, Low Cut off, Mic Zoom Set Off Tour: Black Ice European Open Air Tour 2010 Opening Acts: Kaiser Franz Josef, Boon, Volbeat Audience: 95.000 (biggest 'single' concert (i.e. excluding festivals) in Austria ever (2nd: Pink Floyd, Division Bell World Tour, 19.Aug.1994, Wiener Neustadt, Air Field East - 92.000 people) Lineage: Sony ECM-TS125 Electret Condenser Business Microphone -> Olympus LS-10 (PCM WAV 44.1kHz/16bit) , -> PC -> Creative WaveStudio (PCM WAV, 44.100 Hz/16 Bit/Stereo - 172 KB/Sec) -> WAV -> Nero Wave Editor -> FLAC Level 6 Edits: general volume adaption, countless channel volume adpations where uneven, equalizer, fade-in & fade out, cut out of some (very) short clips (of audience screams) between songs, track split, flac level 6 Special Notes: After 'Rock 'n' Roll Train' Brian says "Holy Shit!"; also he comments on the stormy weather after 'Back in Black': "Don't worry about this, ... nothing!", "Slippin' and slidin' a bit!" after 'Dirty Deeds done dirt cheap' and "It stopped" right after 'Thunderstuck' (It started to rain heavily during the first minute of 'Rock 'n' Roll Train', stopped after 'Thunderstruck' and stated again to rain (slightly) during the 'Let there be Rock'/Angus Solo...) During the first minute of 'Dirty Deeds' you can hear loud audience noise, as well as some pops and crackles - that's hail coming down and us complaining about it (it hailed for about half a minute)! Also, just before 'Thunderstruck' I could hear real thunder and see a flash, so 'perfect weather' indeed^^... Brian messes up 'Big Jack' as he continues to sing the lyrics when Angus starts his solo. Before 'Dirty Deeds done dirt cheap' Brian says "Alright Wels!" During 'You shook me all Night long' Brian sings "...Austrian Tights..." At the end of 'For those about to Rock' Brian says "We salute you Wels!", and just after the song has finished he shouts "We salute you Austria!" ----- For those of you who haven't heard this yet: This concert was preceeded by some discussions about environmental concerns (there are rare birds nesting in the area of the airfield during May, hence the discussion about allowing or not allowing the concert to happen, setting a decibel limit, moving the gig to a different location (...), and also rumours about bombs of WWII still to be on the site - all these things could not stop the Rock 'n' Roll Train to arrive at 'Railroad Airport' Wels, delivering a load of High Voltage Rock 'n' Roll :) ----- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Soundquality: clear, lively audience recording, unfortunately with some annoying interference from the audience - 7,5/10 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ***** I have done the utmost to bring a good quality audience recording to you, and I've put a lot more effort (=hours of work) into this one than usually - a post-pubertal blondie right behind me (on the left side), bawling and screaming hysterically in her worst way so loud I was half deaf after the gig (you know, the worst nightmare for a bootlegger, I get really aggressive when I listen to the unedited recording^^!!!) - however, I tried to level out these screams as good as I could. An that's my only gripe about this gig - didn't care about the weather, the rain, the hail, didn't care about the mud, the expensive drinks (...) - but I sure was irritated by that girl! (Fortunately she became 'quieter' as the gig moved on (lost energy, and songs which are not played on radio or MTV...^^ - unless Angus or Brian walked by...) - still very annoying, but not as much as during the first few songs, you'll notice!) Whatever - enjoy anyway! Finally, just in case other recordings of this gig turn up, that's how you can identfy mine: at about 3:21 min into 'Hell ain't a bad Place to be' you can hear a girl saying "Wie im Fernsehen" ('Just like in TV' - we were standing just about 2 metres away from the catwalk, and Angus walked by) which should be in the right channel. Furthermore, just before 'High Voltage' a voice (that belongs to me^^) shouts "High Voltage Rock an' Roooollll!" ...High Voltage was one of my very first favorite AC/DC songs (well, High Voltage was my first AC/DC album I bought, so...) - I was more than happy to hear this one live (the last time it was played, before the recent re-introduction to the set at the beginning of 2010 (start of the Austrailan/NZ/Japan leg of the Black Ice tour) was on The Razor's Edge tour in 1990/91 - not played on the Ballbreaker (1996) tour, Stiff upper Lip (2000/01) tour, nor the mini-tour in 2003, and the 2008/09 leg of the Black Ice tour!!!) have fun! ***** Setlist: Disc 1: 01 Intro (2:10) 02 Rock 'n' Roll Train (4:34) 03 Hell Ain’t A Bad Place To Be (4:48) 04 Back In Black (4:22) 05 Big Jack (4:35) 06 Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap (4:57) 07 Shot Down in Flames (4:08) 08 Thunderstruck (5:54) 09 Black Ice (3:44) 10 The Jack (10:45) 11 Hells Bells (5:57) Disc 2 12 Shoot To Thrill (6:08) 13 War Machine (3:46) 14 High Voltage (4:52) 15 You Shook Me All Night Long (4:09) 16 T.N.T. (4:08) 17 Whole Lotta Rosie (6:14) 18 Let There Be Rock (19:43) --------- 19 Highway To Hell (4:58) 20 For Those About To Rock (We Salute You) (7:24) [1h57min16sec] ---------- ************* Enjoy this recording anyway you want (I have uploaded both the flac- and the mp3 version), share it, but please keep my notes and the album art together with the audio files! DON'T SELL - only free sharing or trading! ************* AGAIN, ENJOY!!! HighVoltage

Finally! Thanks for this one. And well there was also some weird thing. Mal and Cliff´s guitars were cut off for 5 seconds. Can´t tell when this happened thought.

@PR: where? didn't notice that! (though the 'clapping' bit in Shoot to Thrill sound thin - I really only can hear Angus & Phil - but I don't know if this is just the acoustics on the boot or if it was real, can't remember)
