Remember "Strap It On"? XD
Remember back when AC/DC hadn't announced the new album name was "Black Ice"? And a rumor was spreading that the new album was "Strap It On"! Those were the good ol' days for me. I mean "Strap It On" is kind of a dumb name for an album. The fake track list is even dumber. THANK GOD FOR "BLACK ICE"!! Here's the (Fake) "Strap It On" track list: 1. All You Can Eat 2. Rockin' In a Hard Place 3. Honeytrap 4. Strap It On 5. Rough N Tumble 6. Wine, Women and Song 7. Deep, Down N Dirty 8. Turning Tricks 9. City Lights 10. Rocking On Home 11. Back On Easy Street 12. Lightning Strikes
The first 2 tracks aren't bad names actually, lol I remember this
Actually, the titles are no less moronic than most of the titles they did come up with for Black Ice. Case in point: 1. RnR Train 2. Smash n Grab 3. Money Made 4. Rockin' All the Way In trying to "sound" like AC/DC and come up with "AC/DC-like names", they've really descended into Spinal Tap territory... I'm not even sure Spinal Tap could come up with these titles! Truth is surely stranger than satire... "Tonight I'm gonna rock ya tonight!"
I agree with Flick. With the exception of a couple, I can imagine some good tunes coming out of those.
this is interesting http://www.lyricsfire.com/viewlyrics/acdc/strap-it-on-lyrics.htm
Someone even made fake lyrics for one of the sons? LOL!!
Rockin' In A Hard Place would probably be a pretty freakin' awesome song. I could see it working as a 'DC tune.
Even imo "Deep, Down N Dirty" sounds more DC like as Anything goes
I also remember this "Dirty Rhythm" tracklisting: from http://www.sleazeroxx.com/news08/0721acd.shtml "AC/DC now announce complete tracklisting for their long awaited new album "Dirty Rhythm". 1 Serious Nuclear Screamer 2 Run Away From Black Ice 3 The Ripper 4 9 Days In Spider's Trap 5 Rock 'N Roll Defenders 6 Love Madness 7 Long Way To Go 8 RAW 9 Heat It Up 10 Crawlin' 11 Tornado Suicide 12 Caught In A Riff 13 The Legacy "Dirty Rhythm" is set to be released October 27/28 of this year and will be sold exclusively through Wal-Mart Stores Inc. The first single "Run Away From Black Ice" will be released next month, on Aug. 24. AC/DC's World Tour will kick off in New York City on Jan. 1, 2009. " I do like the album title.
A lot of these sound like working titles for songs that ended up on Black Ice or some of the other 60 songs they said they had on the go... Working titles can be whatever they want them to be, which I think explains titles like "Caught in a Riff" (probably a really good jam they had going that they hadn't figured out the lyrics for yet) and "Run Away From Black Ice", which probably turned into Black Ice...
"Turning Tricks" probably became "Money Made", while "Rockin' in a Hard Place" probably became "Rockin' All the Way" (equally as moronic...
Except the Dirty Rhythm Track Listing Came Out Way After Black Ice's Release and was just poking fun at the tracks on Black Ice. Strap It On's Track listing was out quite a while before Black ice was even close to being announced.
Well, just bothered to look at that link... Apparently that was out before Black Ice too. Could've of sworn it came out way after Black Ice's release. Disregard my above message////
Yeah God I remember that shit. Some people believed those were real too. I took me all of two seconds to know they were fake. However, Dirty Rhythm would be a way better album or song title than Black Ice. I remember when the BI tracklisting leaked, I didn't believe it was real. I though War Machine sounded like a Maiden of GNR song and I thought AC/DC wouldn't make a song about trains. BI is really just a parody of what they used to be.
Yeah but don't you get curious about "Run Away From Black Ice"? Black ice? Something must have been going on.
Yeah I am interested in that they got the "Black Ice" part right. Also, Runaway Train... RUN AWAY from Black Ice...
"Serious Nuclear Screamer", WTF!!!! Yeah, they were planning to work that into the setlist and follow it up with a cover of Judas Priest's "Painkiller"...
umm...you guys know someone on RP made this up?
Yep,it was "Rockstar: wasn't it crispy? Think I read it there before, well he claimed it anyways
