Error on Windows Media Player for Windows 7
When I ripped music on the player, the files are on my computer's hard drive, but are not in the library. I tried ripping the same music again, but it still does not appear in the library. Plus when I deleted a certain file from the library, it just reappears again after click out of the player (even though it is not on the hard drive.) Did I screw something up? Can anyone figure this out?
The main problem is that you're using Windows Media Player. Use anything else except that. I have a preference for iTunes, but if you're going for FLAC or other lossless file types, I'm sure others on this board would be happy to suggest a few alternatives.
If WMP doesn't add your music automatically to the library you could try to add the music manually. Explaining how to do this is a bit hard because I have the german version of the WMP...but I try to translate the german WMP-menu the best I can^^ So here's how to add music manually: 1. Click on "Organize". 2. Then "manage library" 3. After that click on "Music" 4. Then a window should pop up where you can add the folder in which the music is located. 5. Now your music should appear in the library... For the problem with the deleted files I have no idea. I hope this helped you... @ RnRDamnation i'm completely happy with WMP. By the way playing FLAC Files with WMP is no big deal... just install K-Lite Codec Pack. If anyone is interested here's the link to download it: http://k-lite-codec-pack.en.softonic.com/
Never mind. Restarted my computer and everything seems to be working now.
