Black Ice Tour DVD
I heard this might be coming out in either October or November. Anyone know the offical release date? and which show do u think they'll use for the DVD?: February 25/27, 2009, Bercy, Paris, France December 2/4/6, 2009, River Plate Stadium, Buenos Aires, Argentina June 11, 2010, Download Festival, Donington Park, England
Most likely it'll be Buenos Aires, but Download would be the 2nd choice probably (although, the crowd was shit) and We don't know when or if it'll happen because it's not been announced yet.
No I don't think it would be Download, because they have already released a DVD there, so I hope it isn't. I think Buenos Aires.
I think Buenos Aires would be better because of the crowd
i would be gitty as a guineapig in a zhu-zhu pet play set if it was either buenos aires, or donnington. (lol, nice metaphor huh)
i thought 'AC/DC: Back at Donington' had a nice ring to it :)
Just because they put a DVD out from Donington doesn't mean they won't do it again,LOL! The '91 show was the 3rd performance they'd done there, and they filmed the ones from '81 and '84 too.(which could be released some day) I think it'll be Buenos Aires, because the crowd was insane and too good for them to pass on,no doubt in my mind.
So where are these 81 and 84 releases? Shouldn't Sony have at least trickled them through to the fans with inferior video and sound through the basically bootleg Plug Me In box?
Because Angus and Malcolm were not happy with thier performances. They have been leaked through bootlegging though.
Continue... Because all Sny care of is the $$ so it will put out every s#it possible... Err not that i don't like any AC/DC pre 2008 performances but the video i have from 84 is terrible.I wonder how Sony can fix it.
Cash grab or not,at least we'll have better versions of shows we love. I'm sure they have master tapes to improve them with sap.
Ahh the good ol mo(n)ster tape trick.. Like many many other tricks by Sony. No i'm joking, it would be awesome to see 84 show. And of course better that the latest crap Sony feed us. Of course will not pay to get something unless it's really, really, really worth it.
Yeah, they'd have to make it worth our while. No overdubbs, and no stickers, deluxed editions, or different colored boxes. Just a straight DVD and that's ALL.Maybe a CD version of the show,so we can listen to it in the car and stuff.
... but would the average fan be interested in ANOTHER Donnington with no fluff? Probably not, and if Sony doesn't see profit in it, they ain't doing it.
I was jsut saying what we WANT. lol They will of course add tons of shit to interest the casual fans.
Even with the fluff, I think they'd say "I'll go with the better quality one" because I'm sure they don't have Donnington '84 in the amazing quality of Donny '91.
And another thing, who the fuck was in charge of archiving live AC/DC videos during the '80s, George Bush? How do they manage not to have a single decent quality recording from an 8 year span of their career?
They may not have a Donington '91 quality, but I'll bet they have some cleaner versions. Look at the Largo '81 videos from Plug Me In and Family Jewels, they look fantastic. Then go look at the bootleg versions. I bet they could release the whole show that way, they just haven't yet(doesn't mean they wont eventually).Just because better versions aren't out doesn't mean they don't exist. I do agree about who ever archives there stuff. They don't know there ass from a whole in the ground.
What about the Detroit stuff from '83? They look fine to me. If they can make Let There Be Rock: The Movie look any better,I'm sure they can clean up just about any show to look decent, providing a master tape is around. I still wish they had bothered to find version of the Tokyo '81 footage without the shitty subtitles... "Fuckin' Sound"
LOL, "Fucking Sound" I always got a giggle from that. But Largo and Detroit are only fairly good quality videos with very good audio. Not good enough video for a full concert release.
