bon and the 80's
Does anyone else feel that if Bon never died tht songs like nick of time or who made who wouldn't a been made because Bon would wanna keep ACDC raw and not made pop-rock songs to fit the 80's
i dont think it would have mattered, it was still and is Malcolms band!
Sure they would have, listen to Touch Too Much,it's just as pop as Nick Of Time or Who Made Who. Bon would have made songs like that too, just in different forms.(and yeah,Malcolm would have probably did them regardless of who was singing)
I guess if Bon woud be still alive, then they would have some different songs aswell.
since who made who was almost all brian songs, would that album have ever been in question?
Main songwriters have always been Malcolm and Angus. I Don't think the music would be that much diifferent if Bon would be alive.
see i gotta disagree with all of you... touch too much is pop rock but i just couldnt see bon wanting to sing on some of those songs and ye mal and ang are he main song writers but bon and brians voices are different so they might have wrote differwnt songs because of the different voices
I still say what I have said earlier. Some songs where different from the current 80īs stuff. Some 50/50 chance witha few similarities but better imho. I think they wouldnīt had that much of a crisis then, as they did during Fly on the Wall.
Nick of Time and WMW pop? What are you smoking? Ang and Mal would have come up with the same ideas, only the details such as lyrics and how they fit the melodies would have changed. Also, Brian is such an underrated lyricist. He is easily as good as Bon was, he just tends to get credit for the shitty lyrics Ang and Mal come up with. Don't forget, he wrote the BIB lyrics, not Bon, as so many people think.
Exactly^^^^ He doesn't get enough credit.I've always thought his and Bon's lyrics were no better than worse than each others. Nick Of Time is my favorite song from Blow Up Your Video also.Which, also,I think Blow Up Your Video has some of Brian's best lyrics with the band. They never should've let him stop writting...
Great lyrics by Brian in the past but my opinion is that Bon Lyrics are more to the heart and true cuz the man was writing his experiences.
Gun's for hire had some of the best lyrics of their career.
Yes, Bon's lyrics had this underlying feeling of honesty and a unique sense of humor. But Brian's are equally good in a different way. He's a little less cheeky, and I think better at alliteration. He was very descriptive and good at getting a certain mood. Take for example Hells Bells: "I'm a rolling thunder, a pouring rain I'm coming on like a hurricane There's lightning flashing across the sky You're only young but you're gonna die" And compare it to something he did at the very end, say Kissin' Dynamite: "Let it rain, let it rain Let me feel it pour Let it slide, let it slide Let me feel the core Like-a thunder in the mountains Like the lightning in the sky Like the eye of a tornado She watch it all go by..." And of course my favorite Brian lyric in Go Zone: "You've got to travel south, South of my hungry mouth And there you'll find a friend Until the bitter end" Cheers to Brian!
