NEW LIVE ALBUM!!!!(Confirmed By Brian)
Brian said so on a BBC interview July 29th http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00t5w72 HELL YEAH!!! At least we're getting something that may be cool from them, -Cheers
Kickass!!!!!! Can't load the audio player on my computer though. Oh well. The live album will probably be from BA, or maybe multiple places like on "Live."
Here's the clip I just uploaded!!! _________________________________________________________ __________________________________________________________ Proof^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
I shouldn't be this excited about it,but I can't help it.
I hope its like the LIVE album instead of being recorded all in one show.
Gonna be awesome regardless,I knew they'd get another one in with Phil... Score one for the Rudder.
Would be awaysome if they put the best of the ballbreaker/stiff upper lip and black ice tour together! But probably just best of the black ice tour, very cool though!
I hope it's all from one show rather than like the Live album. I find the fade-ins and -outs of Live takes me out of the "live" experience. I find myself listening far more often to Live at Donington than the actual Live album. By all rights, this Live album should be from one of the three locations: 1. Sydney, Australia - Deep roots 2. Glasgow, Scotland - Deep roots again 3. Buenos Aires - amazing crowd I guess they couldn't release recordings of all three shows in a box set because that would be too much repetition...
When I listened to that 30 seconds sample I though I heard Brian saying, they did alot of rehearsels. Maybe I heard it wrong. lol
He said, __________________________________________________ "Uh Well,Were gonna...Bring A Live Album Out, I'm Gonna Do A Lot Of Racing, and Most Importantlty...Grand Son ect. ___________________________________________________ Does sound a bit like Rehearsing though, lol. That accent is hilariously cool.
YES! Nice, and thanks for the news Flick. I guess this is what Mal meant when he said they were recording every show. That means it probably won't all be from one show but rather a mix like AC/DC: Live. Unfortunately, how great can it be? I think most of us saw them live on the tour at least once, if not more. This will just be a watered down version of that experience. Plus, it's not like they can throw in any rare/obscure songs we didn't hear at the concert we we went to (to make it worth our money). Maybe finally they will realize their stupidity when they can't make a 2CD Collector's Edition live they could with AC/DC: Live. So I figure the tracklisting will be as such: 1. Rock 'N' Roll Train 2. Hell Ain't a Bad Place to Be 3. Back in Black 4. Big Jack 5. Shot Down In Flames 6. Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap 7. Thunderstruck 8. Black Ice 9. The Jack 10. Hells Bells 11. Shoot To Thrill 12. War Machine 13. Dog Eat Dog 14. High Voltage 15. Anything Goes 16. You Shook Me All Night Long 17. TNT 18. Whole Lotta Rosie 19. Let There Be Rock 20. Highway To Hell 21. For Those About To Rock Pretty boring. It really highlights how plain the set was.
I hope its from Glasgow and its a coincide with a live DVD of Buenos Aires. That would be my favorite pair of the live stuff.
I am actually more for a live DVD if Sony can make it sound pretty good. But a Live CD with all over the place of the world would be cool too. But yeah then we have that fade in fade out thing again. So yeah.
I agree, rudd. Glasgow for the deep roots and Fling Thing and Buenos Aires for the incredible audience.
For various dates, instead of fade-in/outs, they could overlap the audience tracks together, to make it sound like one concert. They could have done that on "Live."
We gotta have Bonny on there, hope they include it. __________________________________________________________ Also,I agree that it'sa bummer to have that setlist, but I can't lie and say I won't get it. Because I will, and am going to. No matter how much I may disagree,I always enjoy the fuck out the Live recordings.I probably listen to the live stuff more than the studio. _________________________________________________________ It would be nice to have VH-1/Atlantic Studios type of LIVE album with Rare cuts though. *haha I know*
I've heard a version of LIVE that was edited like that by a fan, sounded great. They should make it seem like one show.
Great, after an almost 3 years tour they got tons and tons of songs to choose from to put them in the Live cd. So if they make a live cd then I will probably download the DVD and rip it to audio and delete Anything Goes before making a cd. I bet they are excited to choose what to include from hundreds of songs they did live on this tour. Anyway if i'm the only one that i'm not excited so be it.
this is what i would make the tracklisting be: and i would call it AC/DC Black Ice Live 1. rock n roll train 2. hell aint a bad place to be 3. back in black 4. big jack 5. dirty deeds done dirt cheap 6. shot down in flames 7. thunderstruck 8. black ice 9. the jack 10. dog eat dog 11. anything goes 12. hells bells 13. shoot to thrill 14. war machine 15. high voltage 16. you shook me all night long 17. tnt 18. whole lotta rosie 19. let there be rock 20. bonny 21. highway to hell 22. for those about to rock

That's ok mate but i think your setlist is way off. I'm sure they will include all the Powerage songs they did Live on this tour and the fantastic strip show on Spellbound. Also the cover of Alexander the great from Maiden that they F#cking smashed to satisfy the Greek fans in the Athens live. Of course they will include the encore they did in Paris after For those, when they came out again and played Big Gun..Ahh Great show that one.Yep...
cant wait, i technically jittered when i read that brian anounced a live album. i hope they include dog eat dog, anything goes, and bonny.
Dog Eat Dog is what I'm wanting to hear most besides the Black Ice tunes.
As I said guys, it will be from many different concerts. That's why Mal said they recorded every show. They know they aren't playing everything as perfect as they used to so they will take the best version of each song they can find from the tour and put them all together. I seriously doubt that they would just use one show because there are bound to be mistakes, and since such a perfect show as Donnington was patched up, there's no way they'd let those mistakes get onto the record. If they do just use one show, you better believe it will be dubbed with parts from other shows anyway. Sap: the tour was almost 2 years long, not 3. And funny stuff BTW. hawksacdc: ... that's exactly the setlist I posted... Sap again: Did you see the video of Bruce taunting the Greek crowds by humming Alexander the Great? They know we want to hear it, why the hell won't they play it!?
I'm ok with live albums with mistakes. They are live recordings, aren't they? Who expects even the most accomplished, experienced musicians to get everything right 100% of the time?
that's GREAT news! yeah, hope they include every song they played, SDIF, Dog eat Dog, High V, Anything goes .... would like to have them joint together, instead of the fade-ins and -outs like on the LIVE album...! looking forward to it!
Exactly RnRDamnation,if we wanted perfect recordings we'd listen to the studio version. Sadly, they're gonna dub them if they feel the need though.....
suicidehummer a friend of mine saw me this. Yep all maiden fans are mad every time for them to play Alexander.Personally i've probably heard the song once or twice in my live.'m not really into Maiden. The fanniest video from Greece show was when bruce used a Fire extinguisher to reaction of the hundred or flares lit on the show. I have seen this one on the usual mad maiden friend of mine but i cannot find it on youtube. This and more stuff is what makes me proclaim Greeks as the craziest fans in the world. On the topic. If they do this then there must be no fade in-out. Again i would really like to hear Big Gun encore from Paris.
I think most fans don't want it dubbed RNRDamnation, but it probably will be.
If they felt they need to do it 20 years ago,of they'll wanna do it now. I could see it if the band sucked live, but that's just it... They don't. They're one of the greatest Live acts EVER.Spot on almost constantly.Especially this Tour. Brian's been the most consistant he's ever been during the Black Ice World Tour.
*Edit* If they felt they need to dub it 20 years ago,of course they'll wanna do it now. We could really use an edit feature for the posts.
Yeah, and we could go without the auto log-off feature. I'll forget about writing a long post and come back to finish it, only for it to be lost when I hit "post" because I've been logged out in that time span. Also, we shouldn't have to read EVERY post for the "new!" icon to disappear from each section.
I'm sure you've had your hands full lately Nate with the law suit and other issues regarding the site, but I'd like to make a couple suggestions if you wouldn't mind: 1.Have an edit feature,so we can fix typo's and or accidental posts. 2.Maybe fix the log out thing, for the reason suicide mentioned. Just some ideas that would improve the place for us a bit big guy, -Cheers
Oh,and suicide, I always copy my post before hitting post, just in case what you said happens to me,lol. Talk about a pain in the ass having to Re-Type a HUGE message, hahaha.
Would be great to have every song they played and not just one setlist. Also surely it wouldn't be that hard to mix the audiences into each track instead of fading in and out. I look foraward to it, still want a cd of Ballbreaker & SUL tracks that they played live
I can't imagine they would only include one show's set. That would be one shitty live CD. They included all the tracks they played on the RE tour for the last live CD so they will obviously do it for this one. Not like that makes much of a difference anyway.
I know they will, and to be honest I want to hear all the songs from this tour, If only they wouldn't edit parts that they think "need to be fixed"
