Hi lads, long time no see. I'm thinking about making a T-shirt with a picture of Bon Scott on it. Am therefore looking for high-resolution pictures of him that would look nice on a white background T-shirt. Or anything else AC/DC related for that matter. Something cool that sends a message. Any ideas? Hard to find high-res pictures of Bon. Have a ton of pictures of him on my harddisk, but the vast majority are in tiny sizes. Would appreciate it if any of you have any cool designs I could use. Don't have any Ts with Bon so that would be nice, but anything goes really. Cheers.

Hahaha! Wasn't much I could do about it. Finances were shit and I didn't fancy paying out 100 dollars or whatever it was for another year. And before I could take a backup of the database the cunts took the site offline, and wouldn't give me a backup unless I forked out for a year. Damn shame as it was a nice place, but probably better to have all in one place here anyway. Great site it has become. If anybody got some great pics I can use for a T-shirt that would be awesome though. The problem is most are of small size, 100 kB tops, which is way too little to get a good print quality. Would be nice with a concert pic of Bon, but very difficult to find of sufficient quality.

Pangaea mate! It's been bloody ages... Good to see your still kicking it. -fans.net was a great place, lots of good stories and people, but not nearly as many rumors as rising power, LOL!! Sad that it's gone and they didn't give you a backup... I'm sorry but I can't help you out with a high res photo on Bon, hopefully you find one though to make a sweet custom T. Maybe even if you found a site that sells pics and you could maybe do high res scan? Anyway best of luck, Catch ya later man!

Yeah i would really love to re-read the double cd fight. It was all bloody(correct again) sapator that one :P Hey pushposters had in the past some good posters very cheap but i took a look and there is only one cartoon B Scott poster. There are some cheap ones on ebay thought. Yeah, damn shame about the site. Much preferred to discuss things there than on Rising Power. Too many reactive cunts over there. At least way back when I was active there. I think I have the design of the initial forum database somewhere, so maybe I can get it online again at some point. All posts would be gone though :( I did find a pretty cool picture on a CD cover I thought was nice. But despite being over 1 MB in size it wasn't good enough for the site. They wanted 300 dpi pictures. May still come out allright I hope. But I'd need to make a new AC/DC logo or something on top of it, cause the one used looked pretty shoddy. And I'm no Photoshop wiz! :D If you have it around somewhere, it's the one from Living in the Hell bootleg. Pretty cool picture. Love the second one from eBay there, but haven't found it in good enough quality. Have piles and piles of pictures in under 100 kB size, but that is hopeless to put on any kind of T-shirt or poster. Way too grainy.

yeah, he used to run www.acdc-fans.net and the forum there. It had some really good topics in there plus some fights, lol. But overall it was a really good place to visit. It must have been from what 2003? - 2007? So only a few years, but had many regular members which was good. BTW did anyone hear from that guy (sorry forgot his name!!) his avatar there was a tattoo on his arm of Angus, last I heard on the site he wasn't doing quite well. Sap will defiantly remember him... I hope he is ok, had some very valuable info!

I used to run acdc-fans.net yeah. But then life decided to kick me in the family jewels. It's still doing it, but that's another story LOL. Hmm. I don't even know where to look to find those pictures now. I have soooo many on my comp, but hardly one in good enough quality. They're all so bloody small! Don't remember if the ones you sent me were big. I have some pics from you in my Reiceived folder, but nothing of Bon there. I haven't shared anything from either you or anybody else the last years, so the stuff is safe :) http://i898.photobucket.com/albums/ac183/Pangaea666/BonScott4copy.jpg This is my attempt so far. It's not of good enough quality to satisfy their demands, but I doubt I will find anything much better. This one was 2.5MB in size when I started. What do you think of it? Not a huge fan of that vest, would probably have been better barechested or in that leather jacket he sometimes wore, but overall it didn't come out too bad I think. So may just use this one. Feedback lads! ;)

Thanks sap mate, I remember now. Cool to see that he sometimes lurks here. Glad to hear that he's doing well LMAO!!! Nightprowler having a weekly 'bout'. He's like a drunk father at a kids sports game. "I guess that's my guy" lol!!!Especially being a mod, total abuse of powers, lol!!! Funny that they are now my earliest memories of web forums.

Hey Sap, nice of you to remember me, thanks, i'm fine. I visit here daily but all the negativity and whining about the band i love is taking its toll on me. Its starting to depress me and i know if i get involved in all this my tongue is gonna get me in trouble again, believe me i have a lot to say but i don't want to start shit, Nates been through hell this year so i'll spare him the nonsense. Besides i'm getting old now, gonna hit the big five-o in a few weeks so i'll chill for a bit, but you never know what the future brings, i may snap and let the fun begin again. For now i'll keep reading the posts and read all the whiners and ungrateful "ACDC" fans shoot their mouths off. Till then take care !!

Hey guys. This small talk brought lot of memories back. We were so pissed off (again) back then that the band wasn't recording anything. I had my inside info that they will tour in Greece so apparently will record so i was trying to calm people down and i was always referring them as the greatest band alive. But i guess my kind of "snap" was when they started this money grabbing $hit. Anyway the tour is over so i don't thing it's relevant to have any more "fights".But boy Sony is gonna get so much badmouthing if they start doing Iron man kinda projects. Some people are disappointed with the heat the band gets.I respect that (some exceptions are a bunch of little dwarfs here) but i feel like they are not respecting the true fans anymore so i'm in the mode on my mind that the band is officially dead. However i decided to keep looking at them till 2008 era.So i finally managed to collect all four of the 3'' Japanese cd singles and i should post a picture here someday. But after 2008 i have no interests.Sad but true as another blood thirsty band(named metallicas$) said and after suffering the consequences it decided to be "true" to it's fans again.

LOL. No feedback on the image. Oh well :D Can't exactly say I was happy about the Iron Man stuff either. I've not bought or seen anything of it. But I also did like their music getting out there through other means. AC/DC isn't and never will be Metallica or Kiss. I suppose some are so disappointed because such behaviour is so unusual for them. They are getting to the end of their active career, so I suppose it's understandable they try to get in some extra dough from their fantastic work the last 35 years. Shame the tour is over, though I'm sure the lads need the rest now. Must have been very tough on them, particularly Angus and Brian. Must say I felt for Brian seeing him taking a rest in between bouts, with hands on his knees and just gasping for air. He gives it his all every fucking time! :) Glad I got to see a couple of shows. Wanted to see one in Germany (again), but the money wasn't there so I couldn't go. I'm getting dangerous close to the big three-oh btw. Still an angry fuck of a man, but oh well!! :D

i think I was the same too. The Iron Mn stuff just went too far. I didn't buy backtracks either because 'die-hards' or at least 'true' fans already had most, if not all the material that was released. The only exception was the dvd's. And on that note, Plug me In was a fantastic release. It had plenty of new material (especially of Bon) and was all round a good released worth actually paying for and was certainly giving what the fans wanted. Even though it'd be great too the rest of some of the concerts, especially St Albans. But still the promos etc were all really great. So I guess the point I'm making is that fans like to see new material actually worth paying for. Not flogging us with shit we have on 5 other releases. And the tour, well I have said it before and I'll say it again, from a bootleggers point of view, sure it would have been great for them to mix up the set list, but when I saw them in Melbourne, I wanted to hear the songs they played. It's the songs they are known for and what people pay to hear. Plus the performance and effort they gave made me the happiest bugger on the planet that night. I'm sorry because this has gone waaay off topic. Which btw, I hope you find your high res pic Pang!! I'm about to hit the two-o, lol. But it is cool to see familiar faces from the old -fans.net site!

Had forgotten about Backtracks actually. Never even considered buying it when I saw the price and the content. Trying to look at things from the band's perspective though, if they gave out a package with lots of unreleased or rare stuff (if they even have it) would not have rolled in the dough. Sure, we'd be ecstatic, but we're probably not the main segment in their thoughts when they release new stuff. Not that kinda stuff at least. As to concerts, I would absolutely LOVE to hear some more rare songs. Thought it was a crying shame they dropped If you want blood since the gigs in Germany. It was just so fucking unbelievable to hear it live. AC/DC have a fantastic catalogue to choose from, but honestly, when looking at crowds in the gigs, people get off from hearing HTH, BIB etc. We'd get off from hearing Live Wire and such, but 90% of the crowd would probably go "WTF is that? I want to hear the classics!" Besides, there really is something extra when the whole crowd goes fucking wild!! I usually turn around during STT just to see the whole placing jumping up and down and clapping their hands. It is quite different than when only the front 10 meters go mental during songs. Then there's HTH. That's probably THE crowd-pleaser. I think it's physically impossible to stand still during that one!! LOL Wish they would do something like Iron Maiden recently though. A tour with much more rarely sung songs. If Iron Maiden can pull it off, I'm pretty sure AC/DC could have too. They have better and more quality stuff than Iron Maiden - though I love them too.

I think Rhece6 summed it up well. Although I would put more emphasis on the unchanging setlist...

Don't wanna drive the conversation again to the setlist, since the tour is over but if you really care 4 your hardcore fans and not the "Lady gaga" fans that will hear you on this tour and forget you on the next then you have to accept that you will play 3-4 non famous for them and then stick to the classics. The non famous we got was Dog eat Dog(if you can call this non famous).10-20 people know it, i was headbanging my ass off and screaming "Bark-Bark-Bark"..Yeah well i guess that was just for us 10-20 lads in Greece, everyone else can go F#ch himself (on that concert). So imagine if they did this + sin-city + riff-raff + given the dog a cheesecake.Would anybody here have dared to say anything? If he did i would have personally handled the creep. (with the exception of RnRDamnation. He has a one track mind so i would just end biting my keyboard and spitting the keys one by one, trying to make sense outta him :P )

I really do wonder though, what was it about this tour that made them decide to stop being cool? They were so good to us, starting with the Ballbreaker tour (Down Payment Blues, Boogie Man strip song), then they did the VH-1 sessions, then the SUL tour (Gone Shootin, Get it Hot, Up to My Neck) and finally the 2003 mini-tour (you know the songs). What happened?

Maybe they want to piss us off, and then do something really awesome that no one would expect and surprise us all???????? (Maybe they do a tour with all the 'hits', then they will do a tour of 'non-hits') I very much doubt my hypotheses though...

MSN? Not been on in months I reckon. LOL. The shirt has been ordered now with the above pic, so I'm intrigued to see how it turns out. Damn 3-week shipping time  I still massively enjoyed this tour. But as much as I love them and am grateful for a new album and tour, the new material just isn't up there with much of the rest. IMO RNR train is pretty darn good, but Black Ice and such isn't quite up there. Was kinda filler moments for me in the concerts. There are no way to explain my utter euphoria from hearing If you want blood live though. And then Damnation. But especially IYWB. This song is MADE for being played live. It rocks so fucking hard I almost got a boner. LMAO! Just imagine if they did songs like that. Doesn't even have to be stadard in the setlist, but just mix it up a little. IYWB here and there, Live Wire here and there, Damnation. Heck, throw in Two's up or some wacky stuff like that too. Cool lyrics and I'm sure us diehards would get off in a huge way. They have so many great songs to choose from, it's a shame to pick the same 15-18 each tour and then add in about 3 new songs. Sure, lots of those songs HAVE to be there, but there is room to mix it up a little. I honestly don't get why they stick to the formula to such a degree as they do. I know they keep saying "don't mess with what works" but come on! If we're lucky they still have one tour left in them. Please, pretty please, choose some more rare songs then. We beg of you.

Well the 15-18 years old kids that are on the site now they will get the point of us making this argument when they get the same songs after their first "playwhateverjustfukinplay" tour.
