Best Covers of AC/DC songs
In light of Carlos Santana's pathetic attempt at covering Back In Black, I wanna see who here can name off some covers that weren't half bad. Now I KNOW no other band/artist can come close to hard rocking excellence that AC/DC themselves bring to the table, but let's see who has come close. Here's one that comes to mind: Twisted Sister - Sin City
The is a whole album with covers , if i remember it is called covered in black, to bored to find it in my collection right now. It has lemmy on it's a long way t the top. Also six feet under did tnt and a band did all the back in black album(but not good). Also G n Roses did one but fuk em.
Not your typical cover, but I enjoyed Norah Jones' cover of Ride On.
Please tell me how can I post videos overe here? The Joan Jett version of Dirty Deeds is great: This version of It's A Long Way To The Top is AWESOME!:
Whole Lotta Rosie covered by GnR back in 87 were excellent (have a few bootlegs with it on there.) Covered again on the last tour, but IMO it doesn't matter because it isn't GnR just Axl and some musicians that are good but...
I like the cover of You Shook Me All Night Long by Celeine Deon. Really good. Just kidding. She needs to be put down for that. Don't mind the Norah Jones Ride on though.
Henry Rollins & The Hard Ons LET THERE BE ROCK rockz! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Sw-ehjeDdg
Andy Taylor - Live Wire, Exodus - Overdose; DANDY WARHOLS - HellsBells; School Of Rock -It's A Long Way To The Top Perfect.
There's a Canadian band called Whole Lotta Angus that do great Bon-era only covers. I've seen them live and they are great!
Lovin' The Twisted Sister Cover,Dee Snider is always awesome. I've always liked this cover from Steel Panther, done very,VERY, well. Whole Lotta Rosie
I liked the cover of Whole Lotta Rosie by James Brown. At first I was like, did Elvis really cover this, he died the same year the album came out (R.I.P.), then I realized he wouldn't such a song as this but this is still a cool cover.
Ah.I forgot Crocus. They usually do 10-12 covers on every one of their albums ;P

Sebastian Bach - Little Lover on "Thunderbolt: A Tribute to AC/DC" Onslaught - Let There Be Rock on "In Search Of Sanity" Exodus - Overdose not sure which album
My personal favorite AC/DC covers are as follows: 01.) Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap by Overkill (performed live between 2003 and 2009) 02.) Sin City / Walk All Over You by Twisted Sister (SC is on the Twisted Forever CD and WAOY was performed live during their club days) 03.) Whole Lotta Rosie by Anthrax (Again, performed live when John Bush was still their singer, possibly also released but not sure) For the record, somebody should kick the crap out of the guys in Six Feet Under for doing that piece of crap tribute to AC/DC by covering and ruining the entire Back in Black album (as well as their cover of TNT). Hell, I even heard Brian once say in a video when asked what his favorite AC/DC cover was, that instead of naming his favorite he'll name his least favorite, which was Six Feet Under's covers of TNT and the entire BIB album. God bless Brian. ;-)
