AC/DC VH1
Did the boys make more than one appearance (or at least do more than one set of recording) at VH1 Studios in London? I've seen a date for both May and July, and there are a couple of versions of Gone Shootin' that look like they could have aired or at least been a completed track. Also, is there any truth to they're playing Back in Black at VH1? I'm guessing not but since there seems to be a lot of misinformation and weird stuff going on with this concert I thought I'd ask. PS: You guys probably already know about this, but the audio quality on some of the movies of this on YouTube is a lot better than the studio breakers version. You can actually here angus in the Whole Lotta Rosie solo!
Ok, so apparently the majority of the VH1 recordings I have (Riff Raff, DPB, Go Down, and one version of Gone Shootin' with a jam before) are from AC/DC Uncut from May of 2006. The really awesome Gone Shootin' featured on Plug Me In is also VH1, but if you look at the video it's a different event (apparently from July of '96). Is there a name for this second event? Are there other tracks from it? Thanks guys!
Also: There's no BIB from AC/DC Uncut on Youtube. Is this because it was cut from the show that aired?
The full setlist from that recording is as follows: Disc 1 1) Interview 2) Riff Raff 3) Go Down 4) Gone Shootin' 5) Back in Black 6) You Shook Me All Night Long 7) Shoot to Thrill 8) Rock and Roll Ain't Noise Pollution 9) Down Payment Blues 10) The Jack 11) Ballbreaker 12) Whole Lotta Rosie It is also rumored that they performed Let There Be Rock, but that has yet to surface. You can find out more about the video recording that aired here: http://acdc-videos.com/acdc-videos-bootlegs.php?year=1996&sid=1524 The recording from Plug Me In of Gone Shootin was taken from some rehearsals. This recording features the band performing the same songs a few times and a few jam sessions as well. Would be good if they done this again, with a few rarer live or never done live songs. We could all see them sort of live
Every band is at their best in a studio setting like that because they aren't tired from touring, or playing 10 other songs before. I would love to hear them do something like this again, but they won't.
