What I'd Like to See from AC/DC

Another album, obviously. Hard and bluesy. More focus on quality over quantity (I'd trade 2-3 of the "filler" for an expanded Money Made that really lived up to the song's potential). I'd also like to hear some really raunchy lyrics. Maybe I'm just a pervert (read: regular guy), but I've always thought Brian singing unabashedly crude lyrics is great. Good riffs to go with them, obviously. Hard as a Rock, Satellite Blues, Ballbreaker, Go Down, Cover You In Oil; all top notch in my appraisal. And with Brian's voice the way it is now, I think it'd sound really great. Of course other lyrical themes would work along with this one. Novel and humorous misadventures, or general proclamations of badassitude are always winners., as are the songs about nothing, assuming they're rockin' (Thunderstruck, Razor's Edge, Big Gun). No generic songs about Rock n' Roll. If it fits into some suggestive lyrics (Rock n' Roll ain't Pollution), well enough, but no oblique reference to rock n' roll as the stand alone line of the song. I'd also like to hear a mix of Brian's pre-Black Ice and Black Ice singing style. Probably my favorite period as far as his voice goes was the mid-90's. That really gravely, guttural yell that still had a lot of power. That mixed with some deep blues singing (I'm thinking some of the VH1 stuff, Gone Shootin', Go Down, and RRANP in particular) would be awesome. And I'd like a less processed sound. I wouldn't class myself as an audiophile, but a lot of Black Ice sounds to me like it was filtered through ever digital whatheverthehell there is and like it might be downloaded from Itunes someday. It's still a great album and I still enjoy it, but I'd like something a little more raw. The boys and whoever else has a say can tell Sony to go fuck themselves if they're not on board with that; a classic sounding, low-tech album would sell more than a techno-pop production any day.

I would like more of the older rock hits, like that from 'Back In Black', 'Flick Of The Switch' and as you mentioned Steve "bluesy", but with a heavy rock feeling. I really didn't care for anything after 'Razor's Edge', but there are some tracks on the later albums after 'Razor's Edge' I liked, but my preference is the older material. Now some instrumentals like 'DT' and 'Chase The Ace' wouldn't be a bad idea, but I can dream, right?

A Flick Style album, with a bit more polish would be great. You know what I mean, hard and kick ass like Flick, but the nobs ajusted a bit to make Brian,Phil and Cliff shine. I agree that Black Ice sounds a bit too polished, but it's got a few I like a lot on it. The only thing I wasnt the new album to really have though is. 1.Brian on lyrics again. 2.Better/Meaner guitar tone 3.Longer Solos 4.Different Producer

I love AC/DC, but I would some things I would change for a potential album Drums - Bigger sound, like on the Mutt Lange produced albums, but as punchy as they are now, sort of a mix inbetween. Guitar Tone - Angus and Malcolm (live at least) use different amps than they used to, they used to use Master Volume JMP100 MKIIs and now they use plexis, which are less agressive, I prefered the old tone like on the powerage or let there be rock album. So a bit more gain and more full sounding. Vocals and lyrics - Some more songs about sex, cos that's basically what AC/DC is all about. I'd also like some cool backing vocals, like on send for the man, walk all over you and pretty much anything on FTATR. Live - A variation in songs in the set, and maybe some songs from Flick of the switch, Ballbreaker, Stiff upper lip and Razors edge. Still, whatever they make, I love AC/DC's new and older stuff, so I'm not too bothered.

Flick- Yep, yep, and yep. Brian on lyrics for sure. And I lot BI quite a bit. It's just that I see every ACDC album as a gift from heaven from the Gods of Rock, and seeing as we only get so many, we've all got our druthers. Same to Dave. They've got so much good material now, there's just not way to get it all in. That's why the one-off shows are such a great idea; they can play some standards and mix up the variety. I hope they do some more of these like 2003 and that several of them are filmed.

Agree with most everythings been said. Live I would like a few one of shows arounds the world with really mixed up setlist, and advertise them that they are going to be really different so we don't have people complain about them, the stick them in a dvd/cd without all the crap that came with backtracks and i'll be reasonably happy chappy

Screw Bluesy, and smooth sounding Brian. Give me Let There Be Fly On The Wall part II. If its their last, have Brian bust his balls on this one, and make the guitars sound like a chainsaw going through cement.

HELL YEAH CRISPY!This last one, if there is one, hopefully will be an amazing album.I'm hoping for longer solos, heavier/older AC/DC sound (Powerage,LTBR), and faster songs.Everything on Black Ice is the same tempo or just about every song.I think they need one up tempo song like I feel Safe In New York City and LTBR, heavy drums and Angus goes all out like on Whole Lotta Rosie
