AC/DC takes #1 spot for Top 10 best guitar solos
Was listening to the morning talk show "Bob + Tom" broadcasted on radio in the U.S. on my drive to work this morning and they had a Top 10 list of the best guitar solos. As they counted down from #10, I was waiting surely for one by AC/Dc, and lo and behold, the #1 best guitar solo was "Back In Black". Others included "Sweet Child O' Mine" (GNR), "Rock You Like A Hurricane (Scorpions), "Beat It" (guitar solo by Eddie Van Halen), and Rollling Stones to name a few. Tried finding this list somewhere on the net, but heard it this morning and had to pass it on.
Found the link from today's show under Hour 4 "Great Guitar Riffs", however you need to be a member to hear the audio which I have not yet signed up. http://www.bobandtom.com/show/2010/11/17
More info on this can be found at: http://www.gibson.com/en-us/Lifestyle/Features/top-10-80s-riffs-1115/ Salute
Yep, those were the exact same songs and riffs from the 80's. Obrigado Mano!
Good for AC/DC. :-) There's VERY few bands that can even share the same stage with them, let alone own a guitar solo the way that Angus does.
These kind of top somethings are total bull. And let me disagree with every single selection in there. 2 exceptions. Back in Black great riff not the best from AC/DC of course.Someone make a thread to talk this out. Guns n Roses.Ahh very nice song except...IT HAS NO FUC$ING RIFF!!MERCY, MERCY from the stupidity and lack of knowledge of idiotic music radio producers, reporters whatever.
You can't disagree Crazy Train!!! Randy is (in my opinion) the best guitarist of all time!!!
"You can't disagree Crazy Train!!! Randy is (in my opinion) the best guitarist of all time!!!" Although i don't agree with you my argument was for the song.No way Crazy train could be in the top10 best riffs, there are a lot more. And the poll says top10 riff's not most commercial songs. If they are voting for more commercial songs then i wouldn't make such a fuss.Btw...Iron Maiden?Motorhead?Metallicas$(although i hate them). And there are more i personally favor (Helloween,Running Wild etc). So f#ck you poll making ignorant idiots that made this and any other poll.Rot in Hell! Screeeeeaming for vengeance.
Here's one for the 70's, just for you Sap: http://www.gibson.com/en-us/Lifestyle/Features/10-greatest-riffs-0304/
I guess there are a lot better riffs than Crazy Train, but it would have to be one of the most recognizable riffs. But I agree with you Sap, I hate these lists too. The worst people at making these lists are Rolling Stone mag. Have you seen their 'Top 10 best guitarists' list? Kurt Corbain is something like 15... and Angus is in the 90s. Ridiculous
No Jailbreakes i haven't seen the lists and it will be the day when someone will impose me what the best of any is. Ok let's say Angus is at 90 (not), Kurt Corbain is at 15???It should have been somewhere between 43783 and 68931.Ok i'll call it a close call on the Rolling stone magazine :P
Well, if you wanted to see it here it is: http://www.rollingstone.com/music/lists/5945/32609
No need, i'll take your word that it's pathetic :)
Sorry but Slash is a much better guitarist than Ang. Angus can tear up the pentatonic scale but that's about it.
tell me your joking man^^^ I like Slash too,but for me, Angus is better than him...
