(phone ringing). -Hello? -Hi this is Bon Scott of AC/DC.Satan there? -No..Ah,ok,yes hi Bon how are you? -Fine,listen about the cover of our new album,TOTAL EXHAUSTION. -Yes it's almost ready. -Well we had a talk here with out manager Michael Browning and i think we should change the artwork -.... -Yes, well i think we would go with me stripping down a girl and the band doing the usual satanic rituals and for the background it would be satan playing the SG guitar. -...! -Yeah,ok and now i have to go to get drunk, oh and F#ck the fans.Yep, f#ck em.Always want setlist changes and stuff. We haven't even released back in blood (i insisted to Mal to use this title) and they want a new setlist.F#ck em! -Ehh, ok Bon but listen what are we going to do with this cover? -Listen satan let be honest the cover was shait so flush it to the toilet,ok.Cheers. -Ok Bon have a nice day.........Hell now what i'm supposed to do with this peace of junk?Nobody will buy it.Anyhow i'll stash it somewhere and see if i can persuade some sucker to get it. .... And after more somewhat 30 years the poor guy managed to sell it to some suckers on a company named Sony"

Cool cover and all...but unless it has an album with it, lol Is this a joke? Or have I missed the story around it.

It's a joke mate. Old DC would never had a triple color album(as satan stashed the black ice cover for later), just triple cover art album.Oh and Bon would just have punched the fans not told them to F*ck off.

I can imagine a title track on this album. AC/DC the best though, i guess it wouldnt have ended up like GN'R's; "the spaghetti incident." Ride on.

Figured, lol. The mis-press of Let There Be Rock is freakin' awesome though, all Green and Purple. The art work for this isn't all TOO bad,but still funny name, haha. After all, they supposedly recorded a whole album's worth of stuff for what was to become Let There Be Rock, only to scrap it and start over. How funny would it be if that was the original title? HA!

I didn't know that they'd recorded a whole album's worth of stuff and then scrapped the whole thing. Looks like it worked out for them, because it's awfully hard to name a better AC/DC album than Let There Be Rock, well, except for Powerage. I guess some of the scrapped tracks ended up on the Volts CD (IYWB, Dirty Eyes, Back Seat Confidential, etc). I wonder if the band will ever release the rest of the tracks...

I know it was supposed to be the album Let There Be Rock became. It was an experimental album or something with all the songs meant to relate to each other to tell the story of Rock and Roll. Which is why it was scrapped,I imagine. Let There Be Rock is the only song they ended up keeping from the idea. (Man....reading over my self, this just seems like B.S.) A bit far-fetched... Interesting thought though. Nightprowler could confirm/disproove this no sweat I'd imagine.

If I had to take a guess, I'd say that this was there way of telling there Record label that they needed a break. How better to do this than send them an album cover like this?!

No,Hardrockerdave,I think you mis-understood me. I didn't mean that that art work was a mis-print of anything. I was talking about how I read (at least I think I did) AC/DC did a whole album worth of stuff that was supposed to be Let There Be Rock, but they scrapped it. I just thought it'd be cool if this was what Let There Be Rock was originally intended to be.
