First rock metal LP-CD you ever bought or-and listened
Mine was CD, Megadeth countdown to extinction.Bought in NewYork store. First LP was (i have 8-10) if i recall correctly Twisted Sister, come out and play.I think that's why i don't buy LP's ;P First rock ever listened was Alice Cooper Trash, on tape. Ok and first music i think was some techno stuff, Esta Si... Esta No, something like that. :))
When I was 6, my oldest brother gave me the vinyl for the international version of Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap, and Ace Frehley's first solo album from when he was still in KISS, as a Birthday present. It's been Rock and Roll Damnation ever since. ;-)
AC/DC Live 2 disc set. I remember playing "hells bells" "the way i wanna rock and roll" "Sin City" and "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap" a million times. When i was buying it I actually didn't know it was "live" I thought they were the studio songs in a "best of..." compliation. Which i then grew to dislike "best of..." albums because of AC/DC's same reasons. To this day I only own 1 "best of..." album and it's the GN'R one. Ride on.
First CD I had was the one I won in competition - AC/DC Highway To Hell, First cassette was actually first piece of music I've bought it was AC/DC - Blow Up Your Video it was June 1989, first LP - Razor's Edge. my gosh it was more than 20 years...
My first rock CD was Back in Black when I was around 5, and my first LP was Bon Jovi's Slippery when wet that my dad gave to me when I was 6 or 7.
First Tape - I think it was "powerage" - The Atlantic issue they did in the 70's. First CD - Flick of the switch First vinyl - "Cliff's Last Show" (Metallica boot from 86) First Video - Slayer - Live Intrusion
The first vinyl I ever owned I bought way back before I even had a record player because I was in a record store one day and found AC/DC's UK version of Powerage. I didn't want to pass that up considering it's not a common one around here. The first CD I got when i was in 8th grade was The Best of Deep Purple. It was at that time when I discovered rock n roll and took that road instead of listening to all the rap/hip-hop my friends listened too. I had the biggest obsession with Smoke on the Water and Highway Star, but didn't know enough about them yet to buy the Machine Head album. Just like esau31 said, now I always try and stay away from greatest hits stuff and buy the actual complete albums
Limp Bizkit - Chocolate starfish and the hot dog flavoured water, then linkin park hybrid theory and metora, then ACDC - Ballbreaker and Stiff Upper Lip, then Iron maiden edward the great then I just started buying ACDC and Maiden
Black Sabbath - Paranoid, i bought it when i was in the 7 years ago, i was 14 and bought Powerage the very next day, the rest is history, that is truely an iconic album in my life
