Bonfest, Kirriemuir, 8/9th July 2011
Maybe for those European members, and those of you across the pond with clams galore, 8/9th July in Kirriemuir sees the 2011 Bonfest, going to be a special one as Bon would have been 65 this year, however I doubt whether he would have retired had the great man still been with us!!! My understanding is that local bands are playing on Friday 8th, but on Saturday 9th there's AC/DC tribute bands playing, and hopefully the focus will be on the early years, although I am sure some of Brians classics will not go amiss!! It promises to be a very emotional event, in Bon's birth place on such a special Birthday!! Final line ups to be confirmed but I am sure I can keep you all posted as things progress.
I wish I could go with my Tribute Band...We plan on playing mostly Bon material but we have to do songs like BIB and YSMALNL
