2012 Rock 'N' Roll Hall of Fame Inductions
Did anyone happen to record the 2012 Rock 'N' Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony? Or do you know where I can find it? It aired on HBO on May 5, but I don't have HBO so I couldn't watch it.
HBO? What the crap? Didn't AC/DC's air on VH1? That's what's wrong with MTV/VH1/CMT. As for "Did I see it?" No. Same scenario here, no HBO.
yeah, i think it aired on Fuse the last 2 years. this is the first time i think it's been on HBO. sucks ass.
I watched it. I'll see when it is on next and try to record it. & yes, I think up until this year, it was on VH1. I know the first few were for sure.

I watched it and recorded it but I have no way to record it for you sorry :(...It was ok...The Red Hot Chili Peppers were the best performance of the night in my opinion
@Shakedown, the air times and dates don't help me at all since I don't have HBO (which I already mentioned). I'm looking for someone else to record it and upload it for me.

a few recorded videos have been uploaded to youtube and they were taken down. the only ones i can find are interview videos from after the inductions and bootleg videos from the audience (which all suck). i'm really interested in the official pro shot TV recording. and where in the US are you located? i'm always down for a couple beers.
@BonScott I saw some of the interview vids on YT as you mentioned, and agree the quality of some are very bad. I don't blame you for wanting to see it as it was shown on HBO. I am sure someone here can upload it now that I provided the date and time. I could record it, but have no clue how to upload it via my computer from my satellite DVR or I would. I live in Bristol, TN which actually borders Bristol, VA, one of those cities where you can have one foot in one state, and the other in the other. It is about a 20-30 minute drive from Johnson City, where AC/DC performed a couple of venues at Freedom Hall. Not sure how far away that is from you ;)

Slash nailed it. He sounded amazing to me, at least. The singer they found (I think he fronts Slash's band?) did a good job, but without Axl is just wasn't the same. You'd think he could set aside his problems with everyone else for one night and do it for the fans.
Myles Kennedy is the singer (yes he is the current singer for Slash's solo project and also the singer for Alter Bridge). Axl actually completely declined even being inducted to the Hall, let alone showing up for the induction. He does have a pretty reasonable explanation for it all though. These days he's completely into promoting the current lineup of GN'R, and the Hall doesn't want to induct any of the current members. To most people it might seem like he's just being an ass hole, but some of the current members have been in the band for longer than Slash or Duff or Steven or Izzy were. So when you actually look into it, you can't really blame him. I'm not quite sure why Izzy didn't show up for the induction though. As for that torrent, there's no way I can download that. I have such a shitty ISP right now that it would take me like 3 days to download it. So I'm hoping Nate will still record it and upload it with a much smaller file size.
Sorry, just saw your message about the torrent being too big. I did not record it over the weekend, but just set my dvr to get it today. I'll see if I can get it burned to dvd this evening yet and will let you know.
