Fan Club.....
So anyone know what happened to the "Official" AC/DC Fan Club? There hasn't been anything posted on that site in over a year.....I've always wondered if joining it was worth it for the Tix when they are on tour. When they announce another tour, would it be worth joining?
I think you needed to renew your subscription to remain in the site and club.So find me an idiot that paid to be on a forum and i'll move the whole internet (that was a paraphrase of a Greek philosopher, find him and win big amounts of chewed chewing gum).
I guess I'll have to see what happens to it when more AC/DC News comes around... Does anyone on here, who was a member of the Fan Club during the Black Ice Tour, feel that the membership was worth it when buying tickets for the show???
I was in this fUn-club as a member for 2 or 3 years. Sap its right you need to renew every year, but only for the membership. as for ticket...hmmmm.... ...in 2009 I was ready to buy online tickets(there was a limit number of...... ...one ticket!) for AC/DC's show in Milano.well,I pre-order the ticket but when I want it to complete my "shopping" the sale-session didn't go further.I tried this for three or four days with the same result.then I found an Italian online ticket site wich said that the Milano's show was already sold-out before two or three weeks...guees.....I pre-order an ALREADY SOLD OUT SHOW! ...EXCITING! in 2010 when AC/DC returned in europe I tried to buy ticket for Dresden and Berlin, but they did not allow me cuz I had already pre-order a ticket for Milano's show (yep the one that was already SOLD-OUT!) ...EXCITING (part II)!!!! thats how the fan club memrship worked for me..... I'm still in the site, but not on the fUn club... ....I want a fAn club!!!
thnk god-Lemmy I bought my SIX tickets(we're an AC/DC family haha) for Dresden & Berlin from a german online store. :)
I would say it would depend on your geographical location and the arrangement your local ticket outlet has with the band management. I know that when it came to the show I went to in Melbourne that I had pre-ordered with 'Ticketek' in 2008 when the Black Ice album came out because they knew that there would be an inevitable tour here. My understanding/belief of it is, if you're in the US then I would say it would probably be worth being in the 'Fan Club' since seating is throughout the entire arena and my guess is the 'better' seats most likely might be reserved for those in the 'Fan Club'. Perhaps someone who went to a US show on the last tour can confirm?? For Europeans/Australians it really wouldn't make a difference since typically it's first come, fist serve and you would have a much better chance at securing a ticket if you tried to pre-order through your local ticket agency (Whoever does tickets in Europe).
I made two accounts on the fan club during the BI tour, just to get discount tickets to both of the shows in Tacoma in '08 and in '09. After each show had passed I cancelled both of my accounts, respectively, just to avoid that $40 annual fee (or whatever it was) for both accounts. I'll probably do this again should AC/DC tour again and when the fan club offers ticket discounts (don't like to spend a lot of money, lol.)
I am on the exact opposite side of send4theman.I bought both Milan and Berlin tickets from the ac/dc site and nothing went wrong.Of course i went in and bought the tickets the same second they were available.Didn't go to Berlin btw but meh. After that i cancelled my subscription and i don't intend to renew it never again.
Correction, will renew if Bon came back to the band.
A good idea would be to get organized and create a hardcore fan group that would demand the return of our favorite singer.Even if his reaction would be f#ck off you scum fans!
And adding to that we demand resurrection and time travel!
