it's cool that's we're gonna get a live album. but it would be better if it was like "AC/DC LIVE" where the recordings are from different places throughout the tour instead of an audio transfer from the dvd. if the backing vocals are dubbed on this live album then i'm gonna kill someone.

well I agree to 50% (c: imho the big fail with AC/DC LIVE is the "fade out/fade in" between the songs. totally ruins the live feeling..

I am only going to buy this album if... - It has NO dubbed backing vocals - It has the pauses between the songs that the DVD is missing - It doesn't fade in/out like on 'Live' ...If not, then I'll stick to Nitro's lossless DVD rip that I already have. TJ

Is there an AC/DC fan on the planet that doesn't already have the audio rip from the DVD/BD of Live at River Plate? Seriously, isn't a DVD just a live album with pictures anyways? If they were going to insist on releasing River Plate as a live album, they should at least have done it properly and released it simultaneously (or as a package) with the DVD, like almost every other artist you look up on Amazon. This must be a we-signed-a-million-dollar-contract-with-Sony-but-have-nothing-to-deliver-so-here's-a-contractual-obligation album/DVD/box, much like just about everything else they've put out in the last 10 years. I can't wait to see what Sapator has to say about this...

I also agree with Adimane: Live sounds great, but the fades kill the effect of it being an actual live album. I much prefer to listen to the audio rip from the Live at Donington DVD.

Just read the marketing material. What makes this the "ultimate" live album as opposed to every other live album put out by the band? It must be the groundbreaking setlist. Actually, it's the fans. They could cut the music out altogether (nothing much happened musically throughout the whole tour, anyways) and keep the fans and truly have a rocking album.

eh sorry. I think nobody needs it if there is no difference to the audio on the DVD. Just for making money....

Sap does not have something to say about that RnRDamnation, he stopped caring years ago. Those who still have the delusion that they are still exist as a band just go get it.If you are happy with it it's not my problem anymore.

It's about time! I guess Brian was right after all when he said AC/DC was gonna release a live album according to a video Nitro posted on YouTube, but that was over two years ago. I thought the 7" single released for Record Store Day last year was the so-called "live album" Brian was referring to, but now it appears this is it. Can't wait for it :)

If it had Malcolm's guitar mixed louder and High Voltage/Anything Goes added from another gig, I'd be tempted. Will probably just stick with my DVD rip lol, At least it'll keep interest in the band to the casuals when they finally do put out another album. Sucks for us,but it will keep AC/DC in the news, and that's a good thing.

Kay,let me add something here.So it will be the same gig with a lower sound quality(cd < dvd < blu ray) and someone is going to buy it instead of doing a rip?In 2012?What makes you think that Sony did not just ripped-downgraded the blu ray to cd and is selling it as is,with the usual stickers and flashing lights that go when you fart in the dark? This goes for all the bands, not just AC/DC.You can't sell ripped concerts that are EXACTLY THE SAME in 2012...Well on the other hand you will argue that some people will buy it anyhow so, i can understand the move on an economic level but not on a fan based level. Again my best wished to Sony and their profits and i especially like to thanks the Greek department and say to KISS MY ASS! Ok that was for RnRDamnation because i might have let him down on my initial post and i don't wont that :)

Will it be released in three different colors? Just checked the german edition of amazon and they seem to sell it just that way. PS: You need to scroll over the pics below the big cover. http://www.amazon.de/Live-at-River-Plate-Ac/dp/B009B0L324/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1348165664&sr=8-3-fkmr0

Extremely disappointed with this release! I don't have the audio rip from the DVD but if I want to hear it I can just play the DVD with the TV off!! The best thing about the "Live" release in '92 was the fact that the album had the entire spectrum of songs played on that tour from a heap of different concerts and you could still get one complete show on video - the two releases were unique. This cd release is pointless. Much like Iron Man 2. I bought that one 2nd hand and will probably do the same with this one day. Such a shame that AC/DC's legacy is being soiled by this constant shameless fleecing of the fans, ie, Iron Man, River Plate cd, Backtracks Super Deluxe Edition etc. I feel curiously better for having this rant. Thanks for listening fellow fans:)

pass, no even for completion reasons, debatable if im goin to shell out for a ticket if they tour either,a phenomenal history of just tunes, particularly in my opinion,Bon era,but of late,im watching kids movies with the kids, theyre on the ST,theyre all over the shittiest tv programmes, how much money do they and the record company want? Get back to basics guys, you were/are one of the premier rock bands in the world, fully deserving of the term "LEGENDS", but for chrissake, stop flogging a dead horse, fuckin pinball machines, shoe laces, lunch boxes? give us a break, thats what got Gene Simmons the rep of being a money grabbing arsehole as well,I mean what next? a coffin/casket emblazoned with images of you all and the legend "HIGHWAY TO HELL & RIDE ON"? .Please say it aint so,cos its a legacy most bands can only fantasise about that you n the record suits are pissing on. yours sadly Dave
