this is a joke, right?(in advance... I dont care if I'm trolling!)
few days ago I just (as many in here also) that this record label Sony will release the new AC/DC live album and which they're proud of,cuz its the first band's live album in 20 years. ...and so,they decide to celebrate this giving us this DIFFICULT TO FIND material from... River Plate,2009!!!! wow! once again many thanks to Sony!,but I already have this! oh yeah, you have a new cover-art... ...which was inlay for dvd release! don't bother me til new album's release! finally! summer ends and here in greece we're welcoming winter with full-force-rain-storm all day & night long! time for long-sleeve shirts, wehrmacht boots and a home-time weed & horror/splatter movies! hahaha. cheers :)
I think there will be many extra material!! :) I read a german article where it says, that it will be about 3 hours of music!! So I think/and hope there will be good extra material besides the LaRP concert! :)
How can there be 3 hours of material? They varied their setlists by two-three songs throughout the WHOLE two year tour. Maybe we'll get recordings of Anything Goes and High Voltage. Other than that, what do you expect? Also, I totally agree with send4theman about the cover. Can't Sony at least put a little bit of effort into it?
Everything you need to know about the upcoming live album and why you should buy it, according to Sony: The new live recording includes seven songs not included on ‘Live.’ http://ultimateclassicrock.com/ac-dc-live-at-river-plate-cd/ That one statement says so much about why any true AC/DC fan should rethink buying tickets for their next tour. Same old, same old.
Well I just read it in an article^^ But anyway I just hope there will be many bonus material. Can't believe Sony is publishing such an album instead of Largo 1981 or sth really needed by the fans!
I don't get why you need bonus material. The setlist by itself is astonishing!!
The only reason to buy the album is to complete your collection and for the booklet.
Just another gimmick for Sony to make $$ off fans. Must say we are smarter than they think and hope no one buys this crap!!
Unfortunately, if we want to continue to give iTunes a "single finger salute" we should buy it...increase CD sales. Honestly, I rarely buy music from iTunes unless it's an artist who is only releasing stuff digitally and/or releasing it for a lower price. I prefer CDs. I'll probably eventually buy it (once it's discounted at the Walmart...read that in a redneck voice...it adds to the effect) but not before I buy the DVD (I still don't have Stiff Upper Lip Live...and I'll get it before this CD).
"Unfortunately, if we want to continue to give iTunes a "single finger salute" we should buy it...increase CD sales." Why "we" should buy it?I wouldn't have bought i even if it was the last cd i had to get to fill all of the AC/DC cd collection(but again i wouldn't have got the amplifier bull shit so it won't happen). Be creative, get the Blu ray vaughan(well if you need to) and then RIP THE SUCKERRR!!!My heart keeps Rip-Rip-Ripping this shit. I also heard that Sony's latest cd's inject a virus to you electrical appliances and they all make whale sounds, you know ,ououooouuoououo. Also this cd is infected with the zero virus has cholera is not animal friendly or bathroom trained and will talk you all night about the latest Britney gossips making you stay awake. So i dare you to get it!
AC/DC continues to not be on iTunes...right? The Beatles even went onto the iTunes store, and they were a long hold out. Buying a CD of a band and helping it sell more copies kinda helps out in making sure that CDs still get released and iTunes realizes their tower isn't as high as they thought. I ain't saying it's the only CD option, but given the choice between buying it on iTunes and going to Walmart and buying a copy, I'd go to Walmart. But either way, Sony gets money...eww...I bought LTBR: TM on DVD, but got it when it was $7.50 and in a Walmart discount bin. I feel if the concert sold a lot the first time (Blu-ray / DVD sales combined) a CD version is overkill. As for the above linked blog using the Black Ice songs to say "buy it because these weren't on 'Live'" is irrelevant, those songs weren't written yet. Honestly, if you have the $15 and are considering this CD vs an actually new CD, buy the other one...especially if you have the DVD (unless they made the songs sound less weak compared to the DVD, something about the mixes on the last few concert DVDs have bugged me).
Well with my remaining 15$ i managed to get this one: http://acdc-discography.com/d279.html Different song order OBI and anaglyph black letters that rocks! I can give you 100+1 ways to spend your 15$ than buying this ripped dvd to cd version with a cover. Btw CD's are dead years ago, they just don't know it.And that is good news for me as my collection value grows(don't wanna sell it but if the pigs that we have for government triple bankrupt us i will certainly make a lot of people happy with what they will see on ebay). P.S. I was joking on my other post. The cd is actually bathroom trained.
The page you linked isn't loading, but I saw a comment on an Ultimate-Guitar.com posting that said that person will "definitely" be buying this CD. Obviously there is a market for this CD (even thought the market already bought the same exact thing + video a year ago) so it's not entirely stupid. The record labels are there to make money, like any other business, if they can sell the same thing half a dozen different ways they will... Recently the "Item Of The Day" rolled across the Back In Black on 8-track. Let's count the potential releases of Back In Black, shall we: Original issue on vinyl Original issue on cassette Original issue on 8-track (all three at same time) Original issue on CD (the best version IMO) (late 80s, I guess) Original remastered CD form (I think it might have been Atco, 90s) Bonfire original box set version (late 90s, with all the goodies) New remastered CD form (Sony 2003) Bonfire reissue (2003, Sony) Dualdisc version ("CD" / Enhanced mix on DVD, circa 2004) That's 9 different versions, not counting any box sets of AC/DC albums and differences between labeling of international copies. I'm sure it sold at every stage as well.
Link works fine. You are comparing Back in black with this one? You are saying that the cd version is better than the LP? You are comparing a cd dependent period with a stateless dependent one? Anyhow you got me, i was just pinching you so i can have the opposite effect and make sure you will get the cd.After all i had my kicks with Sony Greece few years ago, so i guess i am returning them the favor. CD's are dead btw.
Sony is bunch of A’ Holes again… I’m sure this will have weak sales like the Backtracks why would anyone buy this it’s identical to the Bluray the dummies got it backwards they should have releasethis first then the Bluray. Sapator is correct CD’s are dead they are not making them in 2013…….Sony here is a little hint for next time include some unreleased live tracks with Bon Scott it will sell tons more copies..
I am not sure on who has the Bon Scott stuff.I mean Sony may have the license but LTBR live with Bon was released by Warner. It may be possible that Sony does not have more Bon Scott material and Warner does not have license to release whatever material it may has.The only flow in the equation is the LTBR show.Hmm.
If I recall, someone here ripped the audio from the dvd because I have this already with artwork which someone did. Not sure if it was ACDCDoctor, but I got it from here which sounds probably 100% better than the Sony shit released ;P
Shakedown: If you have the same rip as I do, the rip was done by nitroangus and the artwork by matirocker I believe.
^ That sounds about right now that you mentioned it. Not sure how it compares to the Sony release, hate to buy it just for the booklet if Nitro's sounds better!! Thanks Norway ;)
Indeed it twas mine and mati's project, and might I add, his artwork looks way better than what Sony's people have lined up for this release. Check this out, he even went so far as to print his own labels and everything! This fan made LIVE album is probably better than what will come out in November....
Aha!Barcode on the back. Ok i can now reveal myself.I am an agent of Sony music ink and i would hand you over to our overexcited fine team of lawyers so they can sue your ass!Enough is enough! As for the rest of you, buy the live album it's original has new never heard live songs and cd's are not dead,i was kidding before. So ok get the album.
