i've been comparing this boots with earlier gigs on the 78 tour. tracks 1-2 of this boot is actually liverpool empire 4th may 78 tracks 9-10 tracks 3-5 are really manchester free trade hall 6th may 78 1-3 someone listen and confirm it, you can easily tell from bon's intros

Hello, my Albany tape has other songs: Sin City (part) Bad Boy Boogie The Jack Rocker (Angus' Solo only) Dog Eat Dog Dog Eat Dog is the encore and I compared this one with the two known shows, where this was the encore: Chicago and Boston 1978. And I can say, my tape is from a third gig. This isn't Chicago or Boston!!!!! I compared all 1978 versions of "The Jack" with this tape, and this isn't from one of the shows I have. Newcastle, Mayfair 02.11.1978 AUD 72 6-7 58. London, Hammersmith Odeon 15.11.1978 AUD 72 7 And as far as I know are these all shows that were ever recorded. If I'm wrong, please let me know. I will post my tape the next few days, so everybody can compare this, and tell me if I'm right or wrong. But this tape seems to be the "real" Albany tape.
thanks bernd, i'd really like to hear that recording, i really hope it's the true albany show. could it be from 1979? i've got a show from chicago aragon 22nd sep 78 they do dog eat dog last be good to compare
I'm preparing the tape at the moment and will upload this tomorrow. The tape is - in my opinion - from 1978. The played "Dog Eat Dog" as last encore. Bon says "Bye" after "Dog Eat Dog". In 1979 they played "Dog Eat Dog" in Belfast, where it fades out, in Nizza - there "Let There Be Rock" continues with any anouncement of Bon between the songs - and in Toronto. Bon says "Thank you" and the end of the song. The fourth and last existing recording, where they played "Dog Eat Dog" in 1979 is the London "Christmas-Show". "Dog Eat Dog" was played after "Shot Down In Flames" as third song of the show. After a short anouncment of Bon they continue with "Hell Ain't A Bad Place To Be". After comparing this 4 shows with my tape, i can say that this tape is from 1978. This fits to a handful of shows, where they played "Rocker" as last song of the "regular" set and "Dog Eat Dog" as the only encore.
hi again bernd, i enjoy trying to figure out these type of boots. when i said could it be from 79, i was thinking of the belfast show, i remembered they played dog eat dog last there because if i remember right bon messed up the lyrics, but good if it's not. at the end of d e d in chicago 22nd sep 78 he says something unintelligable then thank you. so hopefully you've got the real albany boot, i've never seen it with those tracks before. do you want a link for the chicago show?
