Some of the diehards have known for a while that AC/DC did a demo of I'm A Rebel, but never chose to release it (possibly they did the demo as a favor to Angus and Malcolm's brother, who wrote the song). According to Wikipedia, Bon was drunk during recording, so that might have something to do with it. It is said that the AC/DC recording exists, but is in hands that cannot distribute it.

yep, the recording exists, but as far as I know (from an ac/dc fansite called "No Nonsense or something like that, search on the "link section" for this site, but I think that this its been shotdown -in flames, maybe) they had the story online.I remember,I read this article 2-3 years ago, and that said that this master tape its owned from 2-3 people who was in the studio at the time and recording's copyrights belongs to Albert's Productions. so,when Albert's Productions decide to make some money,I believe, they gonna release this. btw, looking forward for my third/fourth ACCEPT live (meet & greet) in greece in October 18th & 19th! :) cheers :)

@ Dirty Eye, you mean that you're one of those people that were at the studio back in 1976 or an Albert Productions worker? or? you were with backstage AC/DC and ACCEPT in 2010 in germany(where ACCEPT did some guest appearing with AC/DC) when they had a "secret-listening" as Peter Baltes (bassist for ACCEPT) said to us on the Aceppt's fan-forum. :) can you explain-clear this? cheers :)

i think, and this is just a guess. please correct me if I'm wrong. dirty eye being able to listing to the song might have something to do with someone who has a copy of the recording (played for him) (i am not giving any names or any nicknames. some people here know who i am talking about) the reason why i don't name him is because i don't want them to be bombbarded with threats or rude comments from people. from what i am told by him, that the recording is not that special. its just a drunk Bon is doing background vocals on the song.

@ sap, Ahh, cough cough cough cough back at ya, ;-) LOL!!! @ travishayes89 , ac/dc did not perform this, just bon with accept @ dirty eye, you know the deal my friend, ;-) @ fredperry, yes he has along with quite a few others @ send4theman, don't need to be an alberts worker or backstage or whatever, just need to have the proper connections & be able to keep your word on things. @ everyone, & yes,i do have it,but can not give it out along with alot of other tracks that were never released, I am a man of my word & going to keep it that way otherwise i may not get the few other deals that next to no one else has. :-)

there is some infos from different sources - one of them is marc evans/interview 1997 - I posted link, that recording of this song made some people increase demanding of replacing bon! like in most cases, genius is not recognize in his time. Michael Browning was very persistent in demanding of getting a new singer. even george young was on of those voices. another storm came when american division of atlantic records refused to publish dirty deeds. Angus admited this in one interview. luckily, there was a strong bond between the boys... first thing atlantic from america did after bons tragic death was asking for permission to publish deeds deeds right after back in black....
