Capital Centre,Largo Compilation 1981, Lossless Flac With Artwork (Finally Here!)
After a long, LONG ass time, I finally sat down and put this together this weekend.Just finished the artwork this evening, AC/DC LIVE At The Capital Centre, Largo Maryland All losslessly sourced, 01.Put The Finger On You - Sourced from Vh1 TV Broadcast - Credit to the AC/DC Doctor 02.Back In Black - Sourced from the official Boxset, Backtracks 03.Let's Get It Up - Sourced from the official DVD set, Family Jewels 04.Let There Be Rock - Sourced from the Vinyl single - Credit to Bignate, big thanks for the .wav audio rip! 05.For Those About To Rock (We Salute You) - Sourced from Vh1 TV Broadcast - Credit to the AC/DC Doctor 06.T.N.T. - Sourced from the official Boxset, Backtracks _______________________________________________________ Compiled by nitroangus23, artwork also by nitroangus23. This great concert has been around for many years, in various bootleg form, but sadly not much of it has ever been officially released. We have been so lucky to have a few songs from the show appear scattered through out some of AC/DC's official DVD and Boxset releases. For some strange reason, they have even edited down Let There Be Rock which was put out on 2009's Backtracks. I have compiled all of the tracks made available by the band, taken from CD's,DVD's, along with the complete version of Let There Be Rock (taken from the Promo single, which was originally issued on vinyl. Two songs on this bootleg have been recorded from Vh1 straight to DVD, to which I have re-sampled included here. Since this CD is very incomplete and missing a large portion of the actual show,I have edited the tracks so that they transition into each other.Obviously, due to the various sources, you can tell the differences in quality from one source to another, although I did my best to make them flow as smooth as possible, but the change is quite noticeable. All sources do sound very,VERY good, once you adjust to the change from song to song. _________________________________________ Contains official material, PM for link!!
BTW, here's a quick fact for ya. The edited version of LTBR released on Backtracks came from the For Those About to Rock 7" single. The complete version from our good friend Nate is from the 12" single. IMO the complete version of the live track should've been on Backtracks instead of the edited one. Oh well. Can't wait to listen to this boot. Thanks nitro :)
in my opinion correct name of place is only one Capital Centre, Landover, MD, USA http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capital_Centre
http://acdc-bootlegs.com/concerthistory/?gig=902 http://acdc-bootlegs.com/concerthistory/?gig=903 Name of venue should be corrected Capital not Capitol as it is written now
Wow, great work Nitro!! Could you send the link my way please?? Great work on the artwork and all!! another job well done man!
I agree, nice artwork on your stuff as usual. Thanks again for this, worth the wait ;)
PM sent! Thanx mate and Cheers from Switzerland!
Link have been sent to those who PM'd me, Will send out the rest to those who've commented here.
I had no idea about Let There Be Rock Jim, that makes since. I appreciate everyone who helped me obtain the songs, and of course the compliments on the artwork. On to the next one now... lol Already have it done and posted on youtube,BUT I need to upload the files. (Melbourne '88 show- coming soon) Brought down the treble on Simon's cymbals, and boosted Cliff a bit.
Just downloaded the comp and it sounds awesome. You did an excellent job mixing the sources together. Thanks again for the link Nitro. Cheers :)
Awesome job Nitro. Can you please PM me the link? Also, on the Melbourne show you are working on; Shouldn't it have Stevie Young listed instead of Malcolm?
Also, on the Melbourne show you are working on; Shouldn't it have Stevie Young listed instead of Malcolm? ______________________________________________________________ I don't believe Malcolm was out of commission just yet ( I may be wrong?) and Melbourne is done, just need to upload it, which I will do shortly. Will PM you largo though.
Excellent work on the transitions. The worst sounding source was the VH1 rips (seemed slightly clipped on the high end). But yeah, I don't think Malcolm was out on the Aussie or European shows, he was only missing on the NA shows.
What can I say... Great sound Great artwork Great job AWESOME!!! Thanx for PM me, CHEERS from Switzerland!!!
The transitions where a pain in the ass, I wish they were all up to the Plug Me In/Backtracks quality, but none the less, they all sound good once your ears adjust to each change track by track. Thanks for the comments guys/listening, always a pleasure sharing with everyone here. -Cheers
good job, i always liked the 12'' version of ltbr
Nitro, How hard would it be to change your artwork to Capitol Center and Landover, Maryland? Would appreciate it if you can make the changes and send out a link. Thanks Scotty from Detroit (acdc74)
Not hard I suppose, if you insist, give me a minute lol.
What about it? Capital is correct, Capitol is not.
We all love the artwork, no matter what the correct spelling of the venue is, or what city the performance was held in. We're just thankful we have something new (or old) to listen to :) Thanks again for the show and the artwork Nitro. It's good shit despite that it was taken from various sources, such as my VH1 Classic TV-to-DVD recordings :)
Nitro, Sorry...you are correct on the spelling. Thanks for the artwork change and all your hard work!!!
nice job, please PM me the link! thanks in advance!
Thank you very very much! :) Great work as always!! ;)
