Albany - 23. August 1978 - the "real" tape?????????????
Hello, a few days ago acojeman posted here, that the Albany concert is a fake. Mixed from Liverpool and Manchest 1978. After that, I've checked my Albany tape - and it has a totally different and incomplete setlist: 01) Sin City (cut off) 02) Bad Boy Boogie; 03) The Jack; 04) Rocker (Angus Solo only); 05) Dog Eat Dog; First of all, I thought this is a fake too. And it's from Boston '78, Chicago '78 or Columbus '78. But after listening many times, this is none of them. Although there are no announcements between songs, this a already unknown tape. There are three points which make a identification possible: Before the singalong of "The Jack" Bon says something like "wounderful". At least it sounds to me like that or something like that. English is not my native language, so it's sometimes hard to understand. After the singalong Bon says something about Angus at the beginning of his solo. At the end of "Dog Eat Dog", which is the encore, Bon says "Bye". I compared this three points with all known gigs from 1978, an nothing fits. In my opinion this is a previously unknown tape!!! Maybe someone with a much better English than mine can help me to identify this one. PM me, and I will sent you a link to this gig. Acojeman had an interesting idea: Maybe this could be the Royal Oak show, which is rumored to exist. This cassettes is for more than 25 years in my collection, and I'm wondering if I'm the only one with this concert. Nobody out there you has the same one, or better, the complete one??????????? Any help is appreciated!!!!!!! A big salute to everyone.
I forget to mention another possible solution: This could be from a 1979 "Highway To Hell" gig. This few songs could fit to some of the gigs they played early in this year on the first leg of their "Highway To Hell" US tour. The setlists are very similar to the 1978 gigs from the US tour. And it's not Toronto!!! I've already checked this one.
I'll take a listen. Please send it over when you can.
