Allentown 79 is the same as Dayton 79
Download the Allentown Pa gig from 6-7-79 but it turned out to be the same show as Dayton OH 5-19-79.
So....k? If you downloaded it from Dime, a reading of the thread would have revealed that to you. This is almost worse than people who buy shit on eBay without reading the description first, and then get angry when it's not what they thought.
Hum...eh? You ASS U ME I'm using Dime A Dozen. I'm not, so I did not know such a thread even existed. I use Superbayman's trading hub. Just wanted to spread some knowledge around, as I did not see a thread here regarding this. Save your sarcasm and your eBay analogies (doesn't really apply anyway, as I didn't buy anything), eh, mate. Anyway, hope this helped someone. If I've wasted a few seconds from your life BJ888, my sincere apologies.
That's right, I did assume, because more than likely, it came from Dime. And had you gotten it from Dime, then the analogy fits perfectly.
BigNate, I am in agreement with Viper. The Dayton (5/19/79) show and Allentown, PA (6/7/79) shows on Superbayman's hub are the same show. Is there anyway that you could check your copies and see if they are the same show? If you find out that they are, can you please make a post? If you have 2 different shows, can you post the length of each song per concert so we can know which show is which? That would help out a lot. Thanks P.S. If there are 2 different shows and we discover that everyone has Dayton for example, I would request that the real Allentown, PA be one of this month's shared Bon Scott BOTM's. BrianJohnson888, Not sure why you jumped down Viper's throat on this one especially since he was providing useful information. Let's all just work together to build the AC/DC bootleg empire. We all have a common goal and that is to amass the most music possible of the greatest band on the planet. Peace out!
I didn't jump down anybody's throat. His initial post was vague, and didn't contain any relevant information, save that he downloaded something, and it wasn't what he expected. It's not wrong to safely assume that it was from Dime, where it was discovered that it was indeed mislabled. It's not like I called him an idiot or anything. I just assumed he didn't read the thread. And granted, I was wrong.
I took a listen to the shows I have labelled as Dayton '79 (received in a trade a while back) and Allentown '79 (from the hub or dime) and my copies are both the same. So I'm in the same boat as everyone else.
I think I've heard of this happening before, gigs getting mislabeled and shit.
