I've heard a version of Nutbush City Limits with Brian on vocals that sounds like it's pretty recent in terms of his voice. I can gather that A) It's not from US tv/radio/??? since the guy says "All the way from America..." B) His voice sounds either late 90s early 2000s ish C) It's not with AC/DC, since, well the sound is a little bigger, with what sounds like an acoustic guitar and of course a sax solo.

if it's the one I'm thinking of that I sent to someone a while back, it's from a fund raiser Brian took part in back in 2004. He performed that song and took part in a few others for the Sunday for Sammy tribute.

Does your version have someone saying "...all the way from America, Brian Johnson" or something like that from a very weird sounding announcer.

I wonder how American accents sound to people who are British... is it more of the New York accent or the southern accent? Just a random thought. Does anyone have a recording of this?

Well, I don't know what's the "weirdest" English language accent. If it's American's thinking about either British or Australian, Australian thinking of American or British, or British thinking about Australian or American. Most likely any of them would think the southern American accent is "weird" cause in the south, a full conversation can go as follows: "D'ya'eat yet?" "Naw" "Ya 'ant to?" "A'ight" (stealing a bit of Jeff Foxworthy and Bill Engvall's humor there)

The guy that introduces Brian Johnson is a British actor called Jimmy Nail who made his fame in a programme called Auf Weiderschein Pet. He's also a 'geordie' ie; hails from Newcastle, hence the funny accent. And yeah, people from the U.K.'s accent varies according to region, just like the U.S....

Yeah, I live in Georgia, and someone who goes to my school is orignally from Brooklyn, and well, he has a bit of the New England "o" sound. But Brian and Jimmy sound nothing alike, Jimmy's voice is all high and feathery, and Brian's voice is well, low and growly, of course that probably comes from his years of smoking...

Yeah, even tho they're both from Newcastle, Jimmy has a much thicker accent. I'm from Edinburgh and dialect from east coast to west sounds totally different. Anyway, Jimmy is a long time AC/DC fan, and even tho i'm not sure how well the two of them knew each other, he was at one point 'seeing' Brian's ex-wife Carol, apparently!!

We Australians can tell the difference between: Brittish, New Zealand, and American. Now the American accent is a funny one, we can't tell the difference between east coast people and west coast people. But we can tell the difference between them 2 and southern. Canadians also sound like east and west coast people to us. Also Scottish people we can tell the difference with and the rest of the U.K pretty much sound the same except some parts of England with heavier accents. I think it's because we have such a multi-cultural country that we hear such a variety of accents.

Well, of course the Southern accent is easy to tell apart from a Northern accent. But I am able to tell a little bit of a difference from Australian and British accents, since British accents at times sound heavier than Australian ones.

I can tell the difference between US accents no problems, and the difference between a Kiwi and an Australian one, but even having family all over Oz, i'd still be pushed to recognize the difference between say a Melbourne or Queensland accent. Is the difference as noticeable as the UK or US?

Soem Queenslanders talk slower than what we do down more south. But only some it's noticeable to hear.

Damnit, computer crash and no sign of Nutbush City Limits anywhere. Hey Nate, you think you could send me that song to my email?
