I got this just awhile ago, with all of the pre-Bon recordings. I know that Can i Sit Next to You and Rockin in the Parlour are both from the single with Dave Evans, but what are the rest? The only info that came with it was that Harry Vanda and George Young are singing. Anyone have any info about what these songs are, when they were recorded, who was on Bass and Drums, and why they were recorded?

Strictly speaking, it's more of a Vanda/Young/Wally Allen side-project that went under the name 'Marcus Hook Roll Band' and featured local musicians from both London and Australia, where the recordings took place. George let Angus and Malcolm cut their teeth, so to speak. The recordings were released as 'Tales Of Old Grandaddy' in Australia at some point, if i'm not mistaken. Only the last two songs (on yer boot) are bona-fide 'DC numbers. Ian Campbell played bass, Fred Smith played drums, and Alex Young (sax) & John Proud feature also.

Alex Young, isn't he the guy who wrote (and possibly recorded) I'm A Rebel. BTW, who is credited with the songwriting of I'm A Rebel on the Accept CD?

Yeah, he wrote it and is credited on the LP as writing the song.

hmm wow never knew that it was for the Marcus Hook Band. And Bon doesn't sing on any of them. Just George/Harry and possible Dave Evans.
