Riff Raff, What do you guys and girls make of this one? For those Riff Raff members not in the U.S., "The Shield" is a police type television show shown on the cable channel FX which is owned by Fox Studios. Actor Who Claims To Be The Son Of Bon Scott To Star In FX's "The Shield" Posted By DSR on 04.04.07 Australian actor Alex O'Loughlin, who will be starring in FX's new season of "The Shield," has apparently revealed that he is the son of the late AC/DC frontman Bon Scott. Although there have been rumors in the past that Bon may have children scattered across the globe, Alex O'Loughlin is the first to apparently make this publicly known. Alex O'Loughlin was born Alex O'Lachlan in 1977 in Australia and is mostly known for his acting role in "The Oyster Farmer." To see side-by-side photos of Alex O'Loughlin and Bon Scott, visit the AC/DC Highway to Hell web site (http://www.acdccollector.com) and click on news. More information on O'Loughlin is available at IMDb. Bon Scott died on February 19, 1980 in London, England. He choked to death on his own vomit while sleeping in a friend's car. According to the AC/DC FAQ web site, he and the friend, a musician named Alisdair Kinnear, had been drinking the evening of the 19th and Bon apparently fell asleep during the ride home. Kinnear could not wake Bon, so he left him in the car to sleep. Kinnear awoke early in the evening on the 20th, checked on Bon, and found him unconscious in the car. Bon could not be revived, and was pronounced dead.

Yeah, bud. I read it today and didn't know what to think. I mean, how the hell do you prove or disprove it, other than talking to his Mom or resorting to DNA tests or what have you. It all depends on what she would say on the matter,(if she hasn't already), but I think it would be pretty rude to ask all the same, so we'll probably have to take his word at face value unless there's more light shed by either of them or the press vultures. It poses a few questions and it's not the sort of stuff you'd come out with for a joke, but I really don't know what to make of it. I can see a teeny likeness in the photos tho!

Its possible, but I highly doubt it, they don't even look like each other.

Wasn't Bon cremated, destroying all DNA?

A DNA test can be performed on Bon's parent's vs. this actor to see if they're of genetic relation. I myself am suspect of this guy's claims. There's no likeness to Bon whatsoever. Probably just a story his mother told him years ago, that she herself believes to be true.

The dude can say what he wants. I'm sure there are places to get pieces of Bon's hair from maybe old jackets he wore or something. The best thing to do though would get a DNA sample from Bon's mother and test it on him. Thta will prove if they are blood related.
