Ideas for May Bootleg Of The Month
For may I think we should at least consider the following shows: 1976 - Birmingham (Barbarella's Club) - 1976/07/31 Rock n' Roll Singer It's a long way to the top Rocker Baby Please Don't go School Days 1983 - Cincinatti (Ohio Badlands) - 1983/11/11 Rising Power Flick of the Switch Guns for Hire 1985 - Binghampton New York - 1985/09/04 Playing With Girls Have a Drink on me First Blood 2000 - Phoenix - 2000/09/13 Meltdown Safe in New York City What do you guys think?
let's us first settle the one for April...LOL!
yea we don't need to worry about may till the april poll closes. this is probably the most controversial poll i've seen since i have joined. just read the april BOTM thread and you will see what i'm talking about. usually there is a clear distance between 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. this time its pretty close with Roseland leading. just read the april BOTM thread and you will see what i'm talking about BTW: the thread title "idea for the april BOTM" could be used for may
Yeah I guess you guys are right, I just wanted to throw those ideas out there for the future and see what the reaction would be. Acdcussr, you are definetely right about the heated battle over the April BOTM. (Go Jurassic Rock!!)
JURASSIC ROCK NEEDS TO WIN!!! PLEASE GOD PLEASE!!!!!
May Topic for BOTM - Bootleg from 1976 or 1977. Keep this in mind once the April BOTM gets settled. Nate
i again would like to see Moscow '91 on the poll (i had suggested this in the april BOTM idea thread). 500,000 people screaming their heads off for AC/DC, what could be better!
Thank you Nate!! I've been waiting for awhile for an early AC/DC bootleg. As I said before, I think that the Barbarella show should be put on the poll.Just look at these tracks: Rock n' Roll Singer It's a long way to the top Rocker Baby Please Don't go School Days These tracks are soooo rare! I don't know about the sound quality (if someone knows please post), but I think it would be awesome if this were put on the ballot
yeah barbarella is great....bon does a great job on school days! by the way: its called "no afraid - its only rnr" but i suggest 1981 - Live Detroit - 11.14.1981 1982 - Live Washington - 1982 1982 - Live Newcastle - 10.04.1982
1976 - 1977 for May's BOTM. We'll get to Shot Down in Tokyo eventually. Nate
There we go, a supporter of Barbarella! Do any of you know whether the sound quality is good on this gig?
Shoot Shoot Don't Talk and Jan 30, 1977 show at The Haymarket in Sydney are also good shows: Shoot Shoot Don't Talk 1) Jailbreak 2) She Got The Jack 3) Can I Sit Next To You 4) High Voltage 5) Rocker 6) Long Way To the Top 7) Baby, Please Don't Go 8) Problem Child Haymarket 1) Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap 2) She's Got Balls 3) Problem Child 4) Live Wire 5) The Jack 6) Jailbreak 7) TNT 8) Can I Sit Next to You Girl? 9) High Voltage 10) Baby Please Don't Go 11) Rocker 12) It's a Long Way to the Top
In the venue listing, Shoot Shoot Don't Talk is the name of the bootleg from the Haymarket show. But the track listings are different in this thread, explanation?
The early gigs are very hard to narrow down just what date they really happened on. In many cases, the same show was labelled as many different dates, so it's very frustrating for traders looking to get the correct show. In some cases, even the original bootleg released was dated incorrectly. There has been a lot of discussion about this on the newsgroup, and a few of us have tried to get things straightened out. I will only put the shows up on the poll that I am positive are dated correctly. Nate
Triple J is a soundboard FM radio bootleg. i'm think it is the Haymarket show from 1977
shoot shoot don't talk it's the bootleg from the show of the haymarket (there is a thread on "bootleg info" called "venue conflict) i think the setlist of the complete show was the one wrote by jdd1510
acdcussr, this "triple j" is a bootleg? can you write the tracklist?
sure, it is an FM radio/soundboard recording of a concert at the Haymarket in 1977, i'm not sure of the date though. i will ask someone on the hubs who has it. here's the tracklist Triple J 1) JJJ Intro 2) Jailbreak 3) The Jack 4) Can I Sit Next to You 5) High Voltage 6) Rocker 7) It's a Long Way to the Top 8) JJJ Intro #2 9) J Files that's what the guy has the tracklist as, not sure what the last track is though. it was released in January of '04 or '05. i will ask the guy for more information once he gets back on. Triple J might be the name of the radio station
yes, "triple j" it's an australian radio station. yes, i think it's form the jan 30 show. i asked to a my friend if he knows the entire setlist, and he said that it should be the same of the hobart 1977 show with "it's a long way to the top" as encore
here it's downloadable the entire hobart show. see it: http://acdcboogie.free.fr/pagesweb/audio/index.php3#
ok boys, I found another bootleg from the 30/1/1977 show: it's called "sin sidney 76", you can see it on www.ac-dc.net, it's the last of the "bootlegs" section. it has 4 tracks not included on "shoot shoot don't talk": "dirty deeds", "she's got balls", "live wire" and "problem child". if you got this bootleg, you got the entire show except TNT, that's missing from all the bootlegs (shit!)
Just to calm down the panic a bit. BigNate left us all with pretty good directions as to how to get onto the DC++ AC/DC Forum and trust me, if you make it on there, BigNate won't have to worry too too much about bandwidth problems and this will be more of a forum to discuss good shows and stuff instead of worrying about the downloads. Most of the shows mentioned above are there (probably all of them) and it's really easy to log in and download whole shows at a time... notangus
you can see "sin sidney 76" here: http://www.badboyboogie.de/bootlegs/1003.html
You can never go wrong with anything pre-79. Bon is the man, any ACDC fan knows that.......Vote late 70's every time.
i could really go for some FOTS tour boots..especially since a lot of the shows had different songs in them from that album in '83. :-)
Are you guys serious with those picks?! Its 76 or 77 shows ONLY
as long as it has it's a long way to the top on it and its bon preferably the triple j soundboard version
Yeah, I agree that the bootleg should include It's A Long Way to the Top. What an awesome song! I also hope that there is at least one good soundboard recording that includes this song
1977-01-07: The Little Cunts Have Done It Again it should be that show cuz it starts out with the love song intro and then goes to dirty deeds. setlist: Dirty Deeds She's Got Balls Problem Child Live Wire The Jack Jailbreak T.N.T. Can I Sit Next To You Girl High Voltage Baby Please Don't Go Rocker it has a little bit of everything 8-)
Masterx449: This was from a post by Mathew Duhn in the April Botm thread: For those who are interested, The Little Cunts Have Done It - Hobbart 1977 has been available for download for quite some time at the following link: http://acdcboogie.free.fr/pagesweb/audio/index.php3#
Just found this site too, but unable to read the text there, because i don't understand French *lol* Ok, anyway, they obviously also seem to offer bootlegs for download. Now, I found out that there was a bootleg listing, which also contained that show: LIVE IN MOSCOW -Live in Moscow, Tushino Airfield, 28/09/1991- Was this bootleg shared some time ago, or what? because that one's still missing from my collection
ok, i have just downloaded the Triple J bootleg. its a SOUNDBOARD FM RADIO BOARDCAST of the January 30th, 1977 show at the Haymarket. this is truly a great bootleg.
please, i'd like to have a bootleg of 1996, so why not : Pittsburgh (US) 25.03.1996 or Seattle (US) 12.08.1996 or Lille (FR) 23.05.1996 ( please this boot !!!because I live in this city ! ) thanks !!!!
again, 1976 or 1977 only for May. I've got 3 of 4 slots filled, finding a good one for the 4th now. Nate
for Little Cunts go to Multimedia, then Audios, and then click on Live du mois: Hobbart 77 and download from there.
