Bad Trader
Hi Everyone, I want to let you all know of a bad trader who is a fellwo member. I Really did not want to post this but I feel I have no other option. The persons name is Josh Davis and his member name is JDD1510. I contacted him for a trade on Jan 26/07. We made a 15 dvd trade and he has confirmed that he has received my package. He says he sent my package out on Feb 26/07. I never received them and asked him to send them again. He said sure and told me he sent the 2nd package on Apr 16/07. I did not receive any of the packages and he says he can't send the package with a confirmation. In his last email he says that he has spent @20 on postage and will not send them again. If he does send me a new lot and I receive them I will send another post. I have made him aware that I am listing him as a bad trader and he basically said go ahead. You should check to see if he really sent them. Postal receipts can usually show this. And he has sent to me with confirmation before......
Yeah, he has done the same with me, I know I've had issues, like with Mojo, some how my package got lost in the mail :S, but then I talked to him about it and he was nice enough ( thanks Mojo) to send out another copy. But I still haven't got it. Our mail service is so lousy here its not even funny... so it may not be him. Just wait it out for like another couple weeks. Most likely its on the shelf or something, have you asked the people at the post office if its there? They could have forgot
Another week has gone by and still no DVD's. He can't provide me with a tracking number so I can't even check at the post office.
I would be interested in hearing jdd1510's side of the story, if it's any different...
hi i went to post office today there is no dvds there if say he is a honest trader why don,t he putt a posts here
i sent him an email inviting him to post his side of the story if he's interested in doing so. Up to him from here on out.
Hey guys, and thanks to Nate for sharing the link with me. My side of the story is probably not much different from Mika's. I have nothing bad to say about him as he was understanding throughout our trade as far as I could tell. The bottom line is that I sent the DVDs to him on 2 separate occasions and he claims neither have reached him, which has NEVER happened to me. Maybe I should have used Delivery Confirmation after the first time, but for whatever reason I did not. Eventually I was fine with him posting here about me being a bad trader as long as the situation was clear to everyone. I lost roughly $20+ on postage through the 2 times I sent, so frankly I didn't want to lose $10 more on what seemed to me to be a questionable situation. Upon further review I have decided to re-send him the DVDs (this time with some type of confirmation to make sure they reach their destination). I have not been active in trading for quite some time due to college and work, and I wish to not have anyone thinking I am a bad trader if I do eventually return to trading. I am proud to still have my site be a part of the links section here, and although I don't come here very often anymore, I have a lot of respect for Nate as he has made this site what it is today. I would ask that Mika post here upon receiving the DVDs as it is only fair to both of us. I will be sending on either Saturday or Monday.
thanks for responding josh, I appreciate you posting here and explaining your side. before you send your package again, i would confirm Mika's address just to make sure it's going to the right spot. Confirmation/tracking will probably cost extra, but this time around it would be worth it. good luck. Mika, please post a follow up here once you have an update.
Hey Nate and everyone. this just sounds like a miss comunication(?) to me,and hopfully I'm right. I've only started trading with a few people and the correct mailing address is a plus. so hopefully this mess will straighten out for the both parties. and everything will be just fine. cheers everyone and ac/dc!!
I dont mean to stick my nose in this but this might help clear things up. Right baut the time frame your talking about. USPS had made a drastic change in ground shipping national and International. They no longer do boat AT ALL!. Fed Ex bought the rights from the postal service to take all there ground shipping and shove it on to planes. And up the cost slighty more than ground and a little less than Air. Well they had to go thru all the transitions and mail most likely get lost in all that shuffle of crap going on. So it could be lost, I sent out a package and it took almost 4 months. So I investigated and found out that my package got lost in the shuffle but it arrived finally. First I want to thank Ned for trying to help out. Josh made a post on May 31/07 saying he would resend my package and I still did not receive anything. It is now Jul 26/07 almost 2 months. I have emailed him twice since his post and he has not replied at all. Mika
Well Mika, what I would do is go to the post office and check, since I know our mail office is shit sometimes. Try going to see if its there, maybe they have been to lazy to bring it to your house..
hi i did go to the post office last week and there was no dvds for me i think i got rip off i just want to thank nate for help out he is a great trader it,s to bad that josh is not this well be my last post on this if i do get get them one day i well putt a post here to tell that i got them thanks
