A NEW BOOTLEG IDEA.....
Hey, I just thought of a new audio bootleg. It will be called POWERLOAD and it will consist of rare live tracks, ie. songs played only on their album tour (badlands, gone shootin, nick of time,if you want blood, etc) so songs like 'the jack" wont be included because on its on just about every live cd. For some songs i will let the above rule slide, like dirty deeds with bon live, whole lotta rosie from rock goes to college(because I PERSONALLY thinks its the best live version of this song. Please give me some help locating some tracks, opinons and ideas. Thanks.
good place to start www.badboyboogie.de "bootleg" section can list all the songs alphabettically click on a song to list which boot/date that song is on ...or something like that
Yea I guess I should have done some research first, I found something close to what I was looking for Rare live cuts, but i haven't really looked at the track listing too thoroughly yet but thanks.
OK I think this is a great idea and have done a little research on badboyboogie. I skimmed through the site looking at tracks that were likley to be rarer (ie not whole lotta rosie) and these are the results, a word of warning though, i went strictly by numbers of boots listed so the numbers will be distorted by things such as there being a vinyl & cd version, the same show on numerous boots, strange versions eg the who made who demo bumping up the numbers of boots. I haven't included tracks that didn't seem to be live versions... Are you ready (1 boot) Badlands (4) Bedlam in Belgium (3) C.O.D. (2) Cover you in oil (20) Down Payment blues (24) First blood (6) Flick of the switch (19) giving the dog a bone (1) go zone (2) Guns for hire (22) Hail Ceasar (17) Have a drink on me (5) Inject the venom (2) Kicked in the teeth (15) Landslide (3) Lets get it up (16) Little lover (18) Lucille (6) Meltdown (13) Nervous Shakedown (6) Nick of time (10) Playing with girls (7) Put the finger (6) Ride on (15) Riff raff (16) Rising Power (7) R n R singer (7) Satellite blues (24) School days (15) Sahke a leg (2) Sahke your foundations (26) Show business (2) Sink the pink (15) Razors edge (17) This house is on fire (9) Up to my neck in you (22) What do you do for money honey (24) What's next to the moon (7) 38 tracks with 25 or less bootleg apperances. (I reckon your best versions boot is a whole other project) I haven't included things like Rock me baby or boom boom. Rare Cuts live and just for fun cover a lot of these songs. Only 11 Bon songs on there and there isn't a live version of him singing all of them even. if you wanted to even it up a bit (and improve the quality as well then can I sit, Dog eat dog, Girls got rhythym, gone shootin', if you want blood and it's a long way to the top were all around 50 apperances and under. Hope that helps and inspires you to have a go at compliling it.
Alright, thanks a lot for your help. You listed just about all the tracks i had in mind. I still need to do a bit more research on the tracks to make sure we have ALL rare live cuts, the track listing should be up soon. Oh and also i noticed you listed songs like "riff raff" and "are you ready" which have been released officially, and i was debating if i should have official tracks on there, so just let me know what you think. Thanks.
ffranci, There are not any Shake A Leg live versions. How did you come up with 2 versions???? Scotty from Detroit (acdc74)
If he was going by the list on badboyboogie.de then it might be the studio version used on a bootleg disc.
Yeah it was, sorry, patience was running a bit low to check they were all live versions etsc. I (personally) think you should steer clear of total one offs like Lucille and stick to stuff that was performed only on that album tour. When it comes to the crunch- if theres a good official release leave it. Keep us informed
I'm finishing up my studies on badboyboogie.de and ill then list all the tracks that i (personally) think should be on POWERLOAD, and you (ffranci and others) can look it over and give suggestions and cuts and all that. Thanks for the help.

Carry Me Home was never performed live. And AC/DC in my opinion screwed up big time when they didn't include it and Cold Hearted Man on Volts.
I thought so, just makin sure. In my opinion '74 Jailbreak is the worst excuse for an album. First off the song jailbreak wasn't even released until 1976, second off why didn't Epic just remaster the ORIGINAL albums and send them over here, and third why not include ALL the other Aus. only tracks on 74 jailbreak? Doesnt make sense to me, and yes Volts could have been a lot better.
Personally, I would leave the stuff like lucille and Jonny b goode, Brian's shake, Miller time etc and just stick to lesser aired live tracks. but then I haven't got rare cuts live:( I think volts should have also included RIP which hasn't been offically released in GB, and Family Jewels should have had a third disc of tv apperances and there should be more bootlegs released offically and they shouldn't ignore Dave Evans .... still the best band in the world tho!
Yeah, even though Dave was a bit of a shmuck, he was still the first singer, and many bands take full commercial advantage of stuff like that. Find his recordings and release them, they would sell. Even if they don't sound great, the diehards would die over that.
ffranci, I agree with you, that songs like Brian's shake, miller time and all that should be cut. But I think Lucille and Johnny B Goode stay on there. Also should I put the tracks that we need in the looking for trade section?
Well, I think you should also put the live version of Locked And Loaded (Jackyl with Brian Johnson) and some other rare live tracks with Brian on it. Locked And Loaded - Jackyl w/ Brian - 1997 Up To My Neck In You - Stiff Upper Lip tour Safe In New York City - Stiff Upper Lip tour first leg Are You Ready - The Razors Edge tour rare track Live Wire - Glasgow 1982 and any other tracks you can think of with the same circumstances.
Alright yeah, thats good. Yeah i forgot to put Safe in New York city in there and ive got Live Wire from glasgow 82, up to my neck in you is fine, and they did locked and loaded live ? I think we should leave out are you ready because thats been released officially and down payment blues w/ Brian should be included and how about rock me baby with the Rolling Stones and any other live songs they did with other bands (Bon with Trust doing Ride On too?) Thanks for the help.
I reckon thats getting to another bootleg myself but it looks excellent
Yeah you're right, i guess we are gonna have to draw the line sometime. Oh and also I'm cutting TNT from largo 81 and replacing it with shot down in flames and adding if you want blood from Toronto Canada 2003. I think Lucille and johnny b goode should be included but I'm still unsure about other live appearances with other bands. Any opinions and suggestions, track contributions will be appreciated

Hey cliff...do you actually have Carry Me Home in a lossless format? If so I might be able to trade Cold Hearted Man for it...since it'd give me enough of an excuse to burn my copy to CD. Also I have the long uncut version of High Voltage from the TNT LP. (thanks calli)
Go for it, it's a great idea. I'm afraid my meagre collection won't be much help to you but you should definatley give it a shot
Ok thanks for the support. I now agree with you about excluding "Lucille" and "Johnny B Goode" and know im gonna include some tracks from Live at the Vh1 studios '96.
