june bootleg
Following the current pattern, June will be shows from 1978 & 1979. As far as the Donington shows go, I only have them down playing that location 3 times, in 1981, 1984 and 1991. If you or anyone else has the date of the 4th, please post it here. Nate
so august will be 1980-1981? sept 1982-1983? so on and so forth?

screwed up! june- '78 & '79 JULY- '80 & '81 august- '82 & '83
the 4th "monsters of rock" show was the 1991 show in moscow.
oh! everyone had always said "the 4 monsters of rock dates", i knew about 81, 84, and 91 from donington, but didnt know when the 4th one was. thanks Lor444
I want soemthing from teh BIB tour. Anything other than Ready For War and Brians 3rd gig from Dienze, Belgium
i dont think the moscow show really counted as a 'fourth monsters of rock'..cuz then the stockholm show from '84 could also be another monters of rock..i think the '91 moscow show was part of the festivals tour part of TRE tour
Moscow was part of the Monster's of Rock festival. Vengeance wanted 4 Donington shows on the poll, as in Castle Donington, Donington, England. I've only found 3 times they played there, was wondering about the 4th. Nick of Time. The BOTM for July will feature some 80-81 shows on the poll. June's is only 78-79, May's is 76-77. I'm going through the tours this way so people will have an opportunity to get shows from just about every tour. Nate
Nate you're right. one bootleg from each tour is a great thing!
for a june boot since it'd be '78 nate whats the boot with 'beatin round the bush'? cuz that'd be a great boot to have :-D -Dan
Sorry Dan, that's one I don't have. It's very rare, and I haven't had the opportunity to get it from anyone. If anyone does have it and is willing to share, I, along with everyone else on the site, would be very appreciative. Nate
Why not have Harder than a Stiff Live in Melbourne 2001 for June's BOTM.....i sure would love to get my hands on that concert!
masterx449, what is contained in this bootleg ('betin round')?
flying.fudge, please read your topic I locked. that will explain why Harder than a Stiff in Melbourne won't be offered. In a few months when that tour rolls around, I'll post it as an option on the poll. Nate
lor444 the song "beating around the bush" is rumored to be in a certain show from '78..its not the show itself i dont think nate can you clarify? Dan
I know that on badboyboogie.de there is a "bootleg" with Beating Around the Bush on it, but it says its the official version. I didn't know that the band actually played that song at a show before
my apologies....no-one mentioned anything so that's why i brought it up. cheers
I know they played "beating around the bush" at the "aplauso" spanish tv show, on 9/2/1980. I've got the video version, but the audio is composed only by the studio version of the song and the crowd noise
May I suggest these 4 boots: I: Date: May 5, 1978 Venue: Mayfair Location: Newcastle, England Set List: 1) Riff Raff 2) Problem Child 3) Hell Ain't a Bad Place to Be 4) Rock and Roll Damnation 5) Bad Boy Boogie 6) Down Payment Blues 7) The Jack 8) High Voltage 9) Whole Lotta Rosie 10) Let there be Rock 11) Rocker II: Date: May 22, 1979 Location: Tennesee Arena, Nashville, TN, USA Track List: Disc 1 1) Live Wire 2) Problem Child 3) Sin City 4) Bad Boy Boogie 5) The Jack 6) High Voltage 7) Riff Raff 8) Rocker 9) Whole Lotta Rosie (incomplete) Notes: Live Wire fades in. Bon says Problem Child is from the If You Want Blood album. Bon mentions Music City before Sin City. Audio cut during Bad Boy Boogie. Audio cut during The Jack. III: Date: Aug 23, 1979 Location: Ulster Hall, Belfast, Eire Track List: Disc 1 1) Live Wire 2) Problem Child 3) Sin City 4) Shot Down in Flames 5) Bad Boy Boogie 6) The Jack 7) Highway to Hell 8) Whole Lotta Rosie 9) Rocker (incomplete) 10) Rocker 11) Dog Eat Dog IV: Date: Dec 15, 1979 Location: Theatre De Verdure, Nice, France Track List: Disc 1 1) Live Wire 2) Shot Down in Flames 3) Hell Ain't a Bad Place to Be 4) Sin City 5) Walk All Over You 6) Bad Boy Boogie 7) The Jack 8) 6 Sec Crowd Noise Disc 2 1) Highway to Hell 2) Girls Got Rhythm 3) High Voltage 4) Whole Lotta Rosie 5) Rocker 6) Solo 7) Dog Eat Dog 8) Let There Be Rock Especially May 22, 1979 :)
As I said before, the Nice show is looking nice. Pun intended.
i got one simple message to BigNate.....don't put bootlegs that have incomplete songs, it ruins the fun of listening to it. It's my opinion....but i'm sure a lot of fans would agree it's better to have a complete show or near complete without any incomplete songs
I completely agree with that, but in some cases it's not possible to avoid if you want a certain show. A lot of the older shows (this month's BOTM for example) were put onto vinyl right away and many had to cut tracks just to get them on the record. That's why Jailbreak fades out and Baby Please Don't Go is incomplete. That also happens throughout the years due to cassette tape flips, recording errors, any number of reasons. I personally can't stand incomplete recordings myself, so I try to keep them from the polls. But if it's a show you guys want, then I'll put it up to vote on. Nate
I agree: no incomplete songs, no incomplete bootlegs, no incomplete shows! :-D
Hello! I'm a long-time fan and am new to the site. What a great place! As for the June BOTM, I would love to see a gig from the Powerage tour with Down Payment Blues in the setlist. Powerage is such a terriffic album, and it would be great to hear some of those songs live.
one of the rare times, they played on playback.
yeah, but as long as we can hear the great tracks, i got no gripe! I don't know what you have planned for the next BOTM, but maybe you should pick something that we all don't expect - surprise us?!? Rock on dudes!
reg. BATB: possible information (yet unconfirmed): http://www.acdcpower.net/phorum/phorum/read.php?f=1&i=66732&t=66732
I got an idea for June if you're looking for a '78 show. How about Live '78? A lot of people might have it but it's a great bootleg nonetheless
you guys should stop bitchin and complaining nates doing a great job and if shows are incomplete thats not nates fault. give me an incomplete show i havent got any day over any other bands crap! any real ac/dc fan wants any recording theyve not got wether it be incomplete or bad sound hail hail....................davidceltic
the "going dutch" bootleg would be a great thing...it includes an entire show from the powerage tour and also a lot of songs from the highway to hell tour
this is "going dutch": http://www.badboyboogie.de/bootlegs/1501.html
um....who said we were bitchin?? - we were just agreein incomplete shows suck and take the fun out of listenin to the entire concert. Just cuz we say it sucks doesn't take a swipe at Nate, he himself said he doesn't like it too. Yeah i think you'll find that we all think Nate does a great job, just be careful how you you read the situation I have the Going Dutch on CD, it's a good concert, but unfortunately the sound quality is a bit poor. You have to crank it up to listen to it good.
please DO NOT VOTE for "thank you london": it's a rare bootleg, but there is a reason: the qualty is very shitty!!!!
another thing: the setlist of "living in hell" is wrong: the played "whole lotta rosie" instead "tnt"
I'll be changing the track list page over lunch today. It will include the quality, length, all that good crap so check back tonight and it will hopefully be ready. And remember you can always change your vote. Nate
Sorry Lor, I am going to vote for Thank You London. Who can resist "It's a Long Way to the Top" on a 1979 bootleg? This one breaks up the monotony of all of the other 79 boots.
erm....is this Towson gig (16 Oct 1979) really the bootleg called 'Living in the Hell'? because Let there be Rock is missing from the CD version and is only avaliable on the LP.... Living in the Hell has the best audio quality of this concert, and I've never seen Let there be Rock from that bootleg, so I'd be very happy if I finally can get that song.
Let There Be Rock is of lesser quality, if i remember right. it's basically the cd version of the bootleg with excellent sound and then let there be rock is included as a little bonus as it's not normally found with this version. Nate
yep i agree with jdd1510 abt IALWTTT in 1979 cuz as my experience tells me, they always improve their song versions each year in different concerts. Please remember Lor444 that bootlegs aren't meant to be perfect quality hence the name bootleg. I put my vote in for Thankyou London.....you've probably already got the bootleg, but for a lot of us, it's something we'd like to get ahold of since you said it's rare! I suppose if we have to crank it up, the better it'll be!
the setlist of "thank you london" is really the best of every time with bon. I would love to have an understandable version. nate, can you ask the man who said he can clear the bootlegs? I think it would be a great thing to offer us a better audio quality for this great show
Hey Lor, Nate's version of Thank You London is SHN sourced, so I don't know how much more it could be improved. It hasn't really lost any quality since it's a lossless bootleg. But who knows
Rare bootlegs are nice to have, but personally I prefer listenable, higher quality boots to those of lesser quality. Please vote for Booze, Blues, and Tattoos (or the '79 gig from the radio)! Listening, for me anyways, is half the enjoyment of collecting live recordings. Where's the fun in having a recording that you can barely listen to? Whatever the outcome, though, a big Thank You to Nate for offering us a BOTM. You've started a very generous tradition that few other fan sites offer, and it is duly appreciated. Keep up the good work!
