Plug Me In Price Drop
Both amazon.com and bestbuy.com dropped the price of Plug Me In: 2 Disc: $16.99 3 Disc: $34.99 I wonder why...
hahahaha yes i can afford 3 the 3 disc set(well that being within the first week of the relese). i dont know why, usually amazon has different prices but best buys dropped,so i really dont know. lets just hope its right.
WHY would anyone want the 2 disc edition when you get more material on the 3 disc ?? Doesnt make sense...
Some people might not be able to afford the 3 disc (although with the prices changing, it's definitely more attainable). I'm most likely going to end up getting both at some point just due to the different packaging. May only watch the 2 disc once, but that's just me.
haha yeah Nate, ill problablt end up getting both cause the packaging, thats what i did with Stiff upper Lip, i got the 2 disc and the remaster imported from england(that was before the remaster came to the US)
Riff Raff members in the U.S. Here's what you do!!!!!!! You grab the Circuit City ad from this weekend's newspaper and you go to Best Buy with your $2.99 coupon from the 3 song CD single. Best Buy price matches and they have Circuit City set up in their computer system under the "competitive pricing" screen the cashier will use. I do this every week based on who is cheapest on new releases (Circuit City, Target, KMart etc.). Best Buy's price for the 2 DVD set is $16.99 Best Buy's price for the 3 DVD set is $34.99 Circuit City's price for the 2 DVD set is $14.99 (save $2) Circuit City's price for the 3 DVD set is $31.99 (save $3) I bought 2 of the AC/DC CD singles so I have (2) $2.99 coupons to use + the Circuit City price match. I will be buying both the 2 DVD and 3 DVD sets just so I have both versions. $31.99 + $14.99 = $46.98 + Michigan sales tax of 6% = $49.80 - the coupons of $5.98 = $43.82 for both sets and I get the Best Buy Reward Zone Points. Hell Yeah!!!!
Dude thats freakin awsome, ive yet to get the single CD ,thats probly cause i dont have a best buy close to me. im probly going to get the 3 disc first and ask for the 2 disc for a christmas present.
you fuckin kidding me? They drop the price shortly after I ordered the 3 disc set for 50 bucks.. I ordered mine in like late September, a couple weeks ago.
Sorry to hear that David (Angusaholic). That is why I don't buy this stuff ahead of time. : ( Can you cancel your order or is it too late now? Tell them you want it for the cheaper price on the website that you used otherwise you are instructing your credit card company to NOT authorize payment to the company you are using. Tell them that you are "blocking payment". Just be a dickhead about it and you will probably get it for the cheaper price : ) Good luck.
Just got an email from Amazon confirming my order for the 3 disc set has been shipped. I pre-ordered it on September 9 before the price dropped, and the new price was applied to my order. Unfortunately, it's not expect to arrive until October 18.
Nate, Just saw your post above. i guess you did see mine from Saturday. lol. Can you tell Amazon to toss off, cancel your order and then buy it tomorrow? They can't charge you until something ships so you should be able to cancel and then go and buy it so it is in your hot little hands tomorrow. Good luck brother!!!!
I only ordered the 3 disc through amazon & had a gift card, so it only ran me about $30. It's already on it's way as well, so nothing to do but wait now. Just have to find time to pick up the 2 disc tomorrow at some point. Can't really afford it, but it's worth it.
I think that the reason for the prices being lower for certain stores is the same reason that Wal-Mart sells $10 CDs. They are trying to get people to buy it through them so that labels and artists will see higher sales at their stores, and then send more copies of their CDs, DVDs, and HD (HD-DVD / Blu-Ray) Videos to them. Purely sales oriented.
The reason that a Best Buy (for example) sells cd's and dvd's so much cheaper is partially what you say travishayes89 but the main reason is so they entice you into their store in the first place. Then they can reel you in and the next time you want to buy a tv, stereo, digital camera or whatever, you will think about them and purchase it there. Then they get you on the real mark up for that item.
That's another reason too. They want you to go there.
