'Plug Me In' Prices
So I get the Sunday paper today and start looking through the ads. 'Plug Me In' is getting a lot of ad time, so I figured I'd post the prices at the different stores. Note, this is the Fargo area, so prices may be different in your area. Kmart 2 Disc: $16.99 3 Disc: Not Listed Target 2 Disc: $17.98 3 Disc: Not Listed Best Buy 2 Disc: $16.99 3 Disc: $34.99 Amazon.com (online) 2 Disc: $26.99 3 Disc: $34.99 Circuit City (online) 2 Disc: Not Listed 3 Disc: $31.99 -- click here This is all I could think of and find in the paper. Feel free to list any other stores you can find.
seems to match up with all the Sunday flyers I see here in CT.. So as of right now I go to Circuit City at lunchtime Tuesday for the 3-DVD!!!!!
Prices matched up Nate. Did you see my post suggestion from Saturday?
Could anyone give me an estimate of how long the 3 disc set will be on the market since its limited. As of right now i dont have the time or the money to swing by best buy and pick it up.....but there is the internet.
Walmart (online prices): 2-Disc: US 29.98 3-Disc: US 59.98 2-Disc with Special five track CD: US 19.98
cliff - I don't think anyone knows that answer for sure. It will most likely be available for a long time, but who knows. Chances are it'll be on eBay long after they take it off the shelves. travis - can you post a link to more information on the 5 track cd? or is it in your local newspaper?
Yeah, my last resort will always be ebay but im currently earning money for it si i wont have to worry taht much. That "limited" tag really made me paranoid. ill be geting me the 3 disc in no time haha. Thanks
I'm going with what I saw online last night, it's 5 live tracks. But don't bother, both the 2DVD+1CD and 3DVD versions are currently "out of stock" on walmart.com...I don't know about in the stores though.
ok, thanks travis. I didn't see it online last night but must have been blind because it's easy enough to find now. I've got the Best Buy coupon, but I figure it's worth while to swing by Walmart and see if they have the package with the cd in stock.
The Wal-Mart I went to did not have the 3 disc version, however, they had the 2 dvd version with the 5 track bonus and it was ONLY $14.88!!! I bought the 3dvd version at best buy for 34.99.. I had to have both versions since the packaging is totally different. So I spent 50.00 Plus tax on mine.
I got the three disc version at my local Best Buy and am watching the Houston Summit 1983 show as I type this. Excellent stuff...34.99+1.99 Bonus CD with the following tracks: 1) Rock 'N' Roll Damnation (Glasgow, Scotland: April 30, 1978) 2) Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap (Detroit, MI: November 17/18, 1983) 3) Thunderstruck (Munich, Germany: 2003) But I was over at my local Wal-Mart today as well and saw the2DVD+CD version and it has live versions of: Problem Child Guns For Hire Let There Be Rock For Those About To Rock Stiff Upper Lip I'm sure I'll be downloading that off Demonoid.
im still waiting to get the DVDs... and i was wondering what all memorabilia is included in the three dvd set?
The 5 song bonus cd includes: 1) Problem Child: Sydney - Dec 5, 1976 2) Let There Be Rock: Glasgow - Apr 30, 1978 3) Guns for Hire: Detroit - Nov 17/18, 1983 4) For Those About to Rock: Moscow - Sep 28, 1991 5) Stiff Upper Lip: Munich - Jun 17, 2003 Just a cardboard sleeve, so no hard case or anything like the 3 song cd. Same cover art/disc art as the 3 song aside from having a different song listing on the back next to the picture of the 2 disc version of 'Plug Me In', as well as on the disc itself. You're not really missing much if you don't get this unless you're a collector and just want to have it.
Shamsheer...3 DVD memorabillia is as follows: Highway To Hell German Tour replica poster June 17, 2003 Circus Krone, Munich, Germany replica ticket For Those About To Rock American Tour guest pass replica for the Largo, MD show on December 21, 1981 (sticker type fabric) Flick Of The Switch Tour personnel badge for the Houston, TX show on October 30, 1983 (sticker type fabric) Japanese concert ticket replica (what show is a mystery to me) St Albans H.S. Hall ticket replica Glasgow Apollo 1978 ticket replica Back In Black "Access All Areas" badge with "Hells Bell" on one side and "Back In London" on the other (hard plastic with a hole punched) All except for the poster is in a white "AC/DC: Access All Areas" envelope. Booklet has several other pictures, ticket stub scans, posters, etc. DVDs and extras are in a nice "Digi Book" similar to Epic's version of Bonfire. All of this rapped up in a cardboard sleeve similar to the styling of the 2 DVD version. Hopefully I didn't spoil anything for you...
just watched what I didn't have on DVD #1.. cool stuff. So anyone find anything that contradicts??? IE Problem Child and Baby Please Don't Go is listed as 12/5/1976 ..so it's not really 12/12/76
Travis: Each pass/Ticket stub is meant to be for the the concerts that are on the DVD, so the Japanese one will be for the Japanese show.
i thought dvd 1 was more like a bootleg...Most of the footage is not that great of quality. There where a few jems but not many...So far, I am feeling like I wasted my money...I hope disc 2 and 3 are better.
Chelray, you gotta remember, alot of that footage is ancient stuff, and probably "masters" as we'd like to think of them in today's terms, don't exist. I'd like to think they cleaned them up as best they could without making them look cartoonish, though.
well, i've got the 2 disk set at the moment, and its great, I don't know about "masters" of certain tapes, but i'm fairly sure that disk one has been restored to the best of Columbia's capabilities. Its still a rockin' DVD, with more than just a few jems, imo. I'm very happy with my $20 purchase.
I have noticed that Whole Lotta Rosie from 1979 is better than the bootleg versions. The VHS versions that have been floating around have a bit of video tracking issues at the beginning. This has been fixed on the official version.
i have 2 sealed 2 track live bonus cd...would sell 1 to a fan
