AC/DC Reissues Need Help from the Computer Experts
Riff Raff, A few weeks ago I was able to watch the extra features on my computer from the AC/DC Epic Reissues Discs. Now suddenly when I try to do this, it recognizes the disc and then when I hit Continue only a white box comes up instead of all the features. I haven't changed anything on my computer as far as settings but I am nervous that someone may have violated my computer even though I have a firewall. What settings and exact changes will I need to make in order to get the discs to work again? OR Are other Riff Raff members having the same trouble when they try to access the extras on the discs via the www.acdcrocks.com website? Everyone's help would be greatly appreciated. I have had this problem for over 2 weeks now and I cannot figure it out.
lol after i read this, i tried it, and what should i say? the page installed the new shockwave player, restarted my pc and after all showed a blank white page....
I don't claim to be an expert on computers...but your computer is ok. Sony/Epic/Columbia is most likely having problems, either that or the ConnecteD site doesn't work properly with the latest version of Shockwave. Also, are you trying it in Mozilla Firefoxe or MS Internet Explorer and also are you trying it on Windows 2000, Windows XP, or Windows Vista? Both of those questions have a reason. I've had problems with Firefox and also I've noticed that some things that work on Win 2000 don't work on XP and vice versa. Also, everyone LOVES Vista (not!).
that happend to me to, but its always been a pain in the ass to use that though.
All you guys RULE for posting so quickly!!!!!! To answer travis specifically>>>> 1. You are probably correct that Sony is having some trouble with Shockwave or some kind of problem on their end. 2. When I bought these re-issues recently, everything worked fine and no problems with Shockwave or the software needed to run them so that is why I think it is the website's problem. 3. I have been using MS Internet Explorer when it worked and now when it doesn't work. 4. I use XP and I agree, I heard there are still so many bugs with Vista, fuck that!!! 5. It just totally pisses me off because I recently bought the last re-issue I needed '74 Jailbreak and I was pumped to see what goodies are on the disc. Hopefully they get this problem fixed soon. If anyone has anymore input, it is welcomed of course. Thanks again to the Riff Raff!
Riff Raff, I still keep trying to use my reissue discs and I cannot get anything to come up on the www.acdcrocks.com website. It used to work but now I can't even get to the 2nd white window screen which is basically an error. It won't even recognize the reissue disc anymore at all. Can some more members who have the reissues try and see if they can get it to work? Awaiting your responses. Thanks
Sorry Scotty, I haven't bought any of the remasters so far, so I'm not much help. Hopefully someone else has them and has some ideas.
acdc74, wassup man, tried DDDDC and HTH and after downloading the flashplayer as requested by the site (I have 3 diff flash players besides) it still won't do jack. Mac laptop w/diff system the same. No access thru work pc today, yet another diff system. I'm getting a black screen with xp, white w/ mac, black thru Vista. Must be them bro. I have most of the r/i CD's but didn't bother tryin' 'em. Oh well. Cheers, Calli
Calli, Thanks for your input. That's what I thought. It just pisses me off because I finally went out and bought all the reissues. They worked for the first 2 weeks that I had the discs but I didn't get through them all with the extras. Then they didn't work so I haven't been able to see a lot of the extras. I think I am going to send an email to the site.
Maybe the best solution. I haven't watched all the ones I have either so it would be a bit of a bummer to think they've pulled it altogether. Methinks it's maybe just a technical issue tho ;-) I'll keep tryin' every now and then, you never know.... Cheers, Calli
