BigNate and the Riff Raff, I have the Angus as Superman version for Baby, Please Don't Go but it is only 47 seconds long. It is the 2nd one listed on Nate's Promo list on acdc-videos.com. March ?, 1975. Is this the fullest video available clocking in at 47 seconds or is there a full version? If longer, who has it and is willing to share? I am trying to put together all the promo videos. Thanks

This clip was filmed for countdown and was aired in it's entirety in 1975, but since then it has never been seen. In the 1980s, a countdown special entitled "Its a Long Way To the Top: AC/DC on countdown" was aired, and was given to the public. This special contained the 47 second clip of BPDG that you have. Unfortunately, in the early 1990s, the ABC had a massive archive clean-out. It is believed that the entire clip was burned, and no longer exists. I believe the same fate befell the following clips: Unknown track - angus in airplane BPDG - Bon as tarzan BPDG - Bon in striped shirt and Unknown tracks - filmed for countdown in short, you have all that exists.

Ligh1782, Thanks for the info.. I am missing BPDG tarzan and Bon in striped shirt and the unknown tracks. I pretty much have just about every other promo. Do you have any of these?

I have seen a photo of Angus in the Airplane. It is in the "new" countdown book selling at the ABC shop. Other videos pretty much won't ever be found unless your waiting for a miracle...Plug Me In!

Nate, 1. Angus as Superman for BPDG>>The clip you have is only 47 seconds long or do you have a longer version? 2. That 7 second clip of Angus in Airplane is the full length video? If yes, thank you for hooking us up with the correct youtube link. 3. Do you have a decent video version of IALWTTT - - The Promo in City Park Version? The one I got off of youtube (of course) is totally pixelled to shit. 4. The 3 Rollin' Bolan tracks. I know that the 2 are on Plug Me In (Live Wire and CISNTYG) and it is missing Jailbreak. Of course, we all have the audio version of all 3 tracks BUT I have the promo video for Jailbreak August 14, 1976. Bon is wearing the same cut off top. Is there really a LIVE video version of Jailbreak from Rollin' Bolan and do you have that? 5. Do you have the promo BPDG (Bon is striped shirt and Bon as Tarzan/Angus as gorilla) versions. If yes, how long are those promo videos? Your help is greatly appreciated.

Scotty I've only got the 47 sec clip (or whatever is on the 3 disc bootleg that has been circulating) No idea if that's all there is for that video or not. First time I had seen it. My versions of the city square video are fair at best. I don't think I have a great version. Haven't seen the Jailbreak video that I know of. There is a video of Jailbreak that seems to match up with the Bolan show (if i remember correctly), but am not positive it is from there or not. I don't have/haven't seen the other Baby Please Don't Go clips that i know of. Hope this helps

Thanks Nate. I am assuming the 3 disc bootleg that is circulating is the Bon Scott Project, right? What appears to be the Jailbreak from the Bolan show is the "So It Goes" Jailbreak version. Your information has definitely helped. Have a great Thanksgiving. P.S. I had sent an email to Mr. Arnaud Durieux and he was kind enough to respond to my questions. Since I was at the November 17, 1983 show and it has always bugged me that every dvd says filmed on November 17th or 18th, I asked him why that is since I was assuming that the master tapes were not labeled properly at the time. Arnaud confirmed that the Detroit tracks are from Nov. 17th and they actually discovered this during the mixing process. I also asked if there are more tracks for the March 3, 1976 St. Albans show and he confirmed that there are. I am going to send him another email and hopefully he will at least give us the setlist. I did confirm with him that the correct chronological order for the 4 tracks from St. Albans are as follows: She's Got Balls School Days It's A Long Way To The Top T.N.T. I also asked if there are anymore video tracks available for the December 5, 1976 show beside BPDG and Problem Child but none have been found yet. That would be some great archival history if more tracks surfaced. YOU GOTTA LOVE THE BROTHERHOOD OF TRUE AC/DC FANS ACROSS THE PLANET!!!!

Scotty, if you got a communication line open with Mr. Durieux I've got several questions myself. He probably doesn't want to get constantly bugged but maybe if the Riff Raff submits more questions to you, you can decide which are worthy and maybe you can get one more response. Be sure to tell him how great it is having a reliable source of information. I'd love to know what wound up on the cutting room floor. As far as the Jailbreak video it looks like Malcolm and Mark are dresssed the same as the Bolan videos, maybe Bon's vest has a longer tail. And the lights over the stage are also the same. Is it just a coincidence that Jailbreak is not shown from the Bolan show and this video looks so similar?

Dailydoseofacdc, I already knew that all these were filmed at the same time because you can tell just by looking at the videos but if you study it carefully, there are some interesting things I noticed. Comparing Live Wire (LIVE) with Jailbreak (Lip Sync), Jailbreak has an extra amp set up directly behind Phil's right shoulder (left side when we are looking at him) behind the cymbal instead of the open gray/blue background behind the silver poles. Daily, good eye about the longer tail. Jailbreak promo Bon took off that extra portion that attaches to the vest or maybe it was an entire piece that went over the short leopard skin vest. You are also correct about the lights. Side stage lights blue, red, white, red, blue which is the same. Malcolm, Angus, Mark all have the same outfit on but it looks like Phil changed his shirt to a striped one for the Jailbreak promo instead of the white t-shirt Costa Del Sol in Live Wire. Interesting to note that for the Jailbreak promo, you can tell that Bon's hair is more feathered and sticking up higher than in Live Wire so I am guessing that they brushed it, put in some hair spray and then purposely shot a promo. Jailbreak version around the 1:18 mark, you can tell that they had brushed Malcolm's hair differently as well. During CISNTYG, Malcolm is sweating his ass off by the end of the song and his hair is pretty sweaty. Live Wire, Angus has both of his socks rolled all the way down. Jailbreak, Angus has the one sock all the way to the knee and one just below his knee. Later during Jailbreak, both socks are down again. Lastly, Live Wire and CISNTYG have a bunch of smoke billowing in over the stage. Jailbreak has absolutely no smoke. My guess. They filmed LW, CISNTYG (and possibly Jailbreak which has not surfaced yet IF it even exists, I will ask Arnaud if he responds to my latest email) and at least after LW and CISNTYG, AC/DC probably told the show that they would pay them for the time to shoot a promo video since they already have the stuff set up on stage anyway so I believe Nate needs to change the date on acdc-videos.com promo section to Filmed July 13, 1976, Aired August 28, 1976. Of course, we would all kill for the live version of Jailbreak from Rollin' Bolan in video form so hopefully it exists.

Actually, acdc74, 'The Bon Scott Project' is just a 2-disc derivative of the 3-disc compilation that Nate's talking about. And in fact, 'The Bon Scott Project' was created by me. I wanted to share the 3-disc on one of the torrent sites, but there was too much official stuff. So I reworked it into a 2-disc set. Turned out pretty well, I feel. Shame that Dime's rules still prevented me from uploading it there...but The Trader's Den is a little more lenient, and it's still alive there today.

brianjohnson888, I got the 2 disc version of "The Bon Scott Project" from The Trader's Den quite a few months ago. If you created it originally, THANK YOU. I see from the notes portion you had mentioned that it was a derivative of "AC/DC: Promo Clips & TV Appearances". I am glad that you posted it in The Trader's Den because that is the torrent site I use. The whole "not being able to get a screen name on Dime" turned me off to that site altogether. Thanks again.
