acdc.com - on this day
So far, I haven't been terribly impressed with the history section on acdc.com. It seems there are a number of gigs missing, but I checked today and found out something I didn't know: March 01, 1980 Burial Of Bon Scott Bon Scott was buried in Fremantle Cemetery. His ashes were interred at Fremantle Cemetery. Years later, the National Trust of Australia included his grave on the list of classified heritage places. acdc.com - on this day
Are you going to include this in the archives? I know its not a concert, but it's an important date for sure.
The information about Bon's burial on March 1, 1980 in Fremantle, has been available on the Electric Shock Web site (www.ac-dc.net) for many years nows! The Electric Shock Web site is the ultimate site for everything AC/DC! Check it out, if you haven't already done so! Let there be rock!
For the most part, the acdc.com website isn't very impressive unless you have a Pavlovian response to buying useless AC/DC stuff you don't need (T-shirts, ball caps, etc) triggered by overhyped, condescending press releases.
Its an alright site. Its got great graphics (Thunderstruck from Donnington in the AC/DC logo), and is well layed out, but the "on this day" just says were they played, not what state or country. Its got links to buy stuff, albeit overpriced, but its kinda cool. The bio section is alittle weak, as I was expecting a individual bio for each member. Im still waiting for a DVD of FOTW, Who made who, BUYV, and alittle more Razors Edge -era stuff, as Plug me in didnt cover it all. If I had to grade it, Id give it a B.
that was my thought as well...what happened? did they not record at least on show per tour?? in 1986, "she's got balls" was played and it was killer!!! would love to se that stuff some day.
