Does any one have or know of a camcorder that has AV outs that I could connect to a DVD Recorder without those little icons (zoom, flash, etc.) showing on the side? Thanks SR

Not that I know of...are you talking about Hi8/miniDV cameras? Cause I think you can get computer programs to convert it over to DVD where you can customize the chapter cuts and menu as well. If it's a VHS camcorder (ahh! God forbid...just messing with you), you can use a VCR to play it. Google...powerful tool.

Here is what I need it for. There is a local band called The Karlz (Good band stop in if you are in Wisconsin sometime) and my guitar teacher is the lead guitarist and singer. The last show I was at I brought my DVD Recorder and they ran me RCA's to there. Then I have a Panasonic SDR-S10P1 and I plugged in the yellow (Video) cable into the DVD Recorder so you have the video of my camera and the soundboard audio all synched up and being burned to a DVD. Then I had another camera on a tripod over the drummers head and that just recorded to a SD card to which i would import into my computer and make a full video with 2 angles. The problem is that it took A LOT of time to put it together. So.. I want a camera like the Panasonic but with better video quality (in the dark) that can be sent out with the AV outs and you wont have all of the crap that you see on the camera (Zoom, white balance, flash, recording mode, etc.) not shown on the TV and then I will run the video to a video selector thing into the DVD Recorder so I can select the view I want in realtime and then have no editing to do later and the DVD will be done right at the gig. Thanks for any help and sorry for all the text... SR

Actually, your current way is better. If you're editing realtime, and one of the cameras goes out while you have the view set on it, you wreck the recording. Now if you record and edit later, you can also clean up your video a little bit as well.
