Tom Morello Scoring 'Iron Man 2'

The Iron Man 2 soundtrack is going to be all AC/DC, all the time, but that still leaves the score, and that is going to be handled by none other than Tom Morello, reports Metal Insider. Vigilant viewers will know that Morello made a cameo in the first Iron Man as a terrorist, so his Iron Man bonafides are no joke.
Morello is working with composer John Debney on the score, and presumably will be finished soon, since the movie is due out on May 7. They are really working hard to draw the headbangers in for this one. At least it's more noble an effort than Spiderman 3's effort to connect with cool people:

A MORNINGSIDE quadriplegic blinded in a freak accident at an AC/DC concert says he intends to sue the event’s organisers.
Terry Watson, 32, was watching the sold-out show on February 27 from a special raised podium for wheelchairs when a mate accidentally hit the control stick on his motorised chair, sending him hurtling off the platform and on to the floor of the arena 1m below.
At the moment of impact, the end of a metal prod strapped to Mr Watson’s hand speared into his right eye, penetrating his brain.
“As I went off the edge I instinctively put my hands up to cover my face,” he said.
“I remember thinking, ‘Shit, this is going to hurt’.”
Most of the 45,000 fans at the packed show at Nathan’s Queensland Sport and Athletic Centre (QSAC) were unaware of the accident as the Aussie rockers launched into an encore performance of Highwa ...

A 19-year-old Two Rocks man has been charged with stabbing an AC/DC fan in the neck outside the Subiaco concert on Monday night.
A fight erupted just after midnight among a group of drunk rock fans who couldn't afford tickets to the show and instead decided to party on Townshend Road, outside the Irish Club.
During the fight, the 19-year-old broke a bottle against a fence and used it to stab the 39-year-old Thornlie man in the neck, severing the carotid artery, police said.
The older man was rushed to hospital by friends and later underwent life-saving surgery at Royal Perth Hospital.
Western suburbs detectives yesterday tracked down the younger man's van to a home in Two Rocks, where he was arrested.
He has been charged with one count of grievous bodily harm and is due to face Perth Magistrate's Court on March 23.

AC/DC: Unstoppable in Australia

TheRockRadio.com
The Australian leg of the AC/DC Black Ice World Tour is set to break all previous attendance records by any band.
Last Saturday AC/DC shook a capacity 50,000 crowd in Perth. The show included a tribute to late frontman Bon Scott during High Voltage. Scott and his family moved in an area close to Perth in 1956 after originally migrating from Scotland to Melbourne.
In previous weeks it was confirmed that AC/DC had sold a record-breaking 212,729 tickets for their three concerts at the ANZ Stadium in Sydney.
The Australian shows have been full of drama on and off the stage. During AC/DC's sold-out shows in Melbourne a 56-year-old man suffered a cardiac arrest and a woman started giving birth, later naming her son Jack Angus.
AC/DC will conclude the Australian tour with another concert at the Subiaco Oval in Perth on March 8, 2010. Read More »

Why SIT through an AC/DC concert?
Posted by BigNate on Monday, March 8th, 2010 at 8:43 pm EST

Perth Now
OK, AC/DC fans, will someone please answer me this: why did so many fans SIT through Saturday night's Subiaco Oval show?
We were in block 303 (on the third tier, probably closer to the beach than the stage) but none the less had a fantastic view across the stadium - and of the 20,000 fans on the grass. We didn't mind we were so far back, we were just happy to be there.
But what surprised me was how many fans in our block sat through the entire show, not rising to their feet once - even to anthems such as TNT, High Voltage and You Shook Me All Night Long. It wasn't as though we were listening to Acca Dacca in the car, you know. Our heroes were finally here and giving it large.
